I was just wondering if anyone has gone through the Excelsior College to get theri BSN. I have my ADN and signed up for this program a couple of years ago. I was working so many hours that I didn't start it. Now due to a disability I am ready to start the program. I would be interested in talking to anyone who is taking it now or has already completed it? I have so many questions!! Is it a good program?

I finished it back in the early 80s. Much has changed now.

My DON/Clinical Manager is currently in the process of obtaining her BSN from Excelsior. She has no complaints so far... seems to be going well for her as she can study when she has the time...
if you have any specific questions, I'll be happy to ask her..although I'll be going on vacation day after tomorrow and won't see her before then... I won't be back 'til the end of the month. :)

There are lots of Excelsior College students on the "distance education" board inside the "Student nursing" board.

Here's a direct link in case you have trouble finding it. You may want to go back (further than the past 5 days) to see all of the discussion. Welcome Becky and I hope you find the info useful. I most likely will be utilizing Excelsior to bridge from LPN to RN when the time comes.

Excelsior is very popular and if it works for you that will be great. There are also many other online programs where you are actually in a class with other students. Some find they do better within a class atmosphere and where there is specific assignments and a schedule. Whatever works :)
Good luck.
