Hi Kat!!
I am back at my home health job, I have a love hate relationship w it. I love this nursing and love (most of) the pt's, but I hate admin also!! I am going to start my wound care cert program in July, then I will become an independent consultant among some other business plans I have in mind.
Nice to see you on the bb again!
Hi
I just graduated from nursing school with my ASN. Im heavily debating on should I attend New York City Tech or Excelsior online to finish my BSN? Which program is better if you plan on going to work and school full time? Also I wanted to know how hard is the BSN program at New York City Tech? I just need the last 8 upper classes and Pathophysiology to finish?

wow ny city tech has an online rn to bsn? i tried looking at their website but it seems like you will still have to attend school for clinicals. but the info was in 2008 so i don't know if it's still the same. i got my first degree there (computer science) so i would be interested if their program is totally on line.
maybe you can post this in the new york forum? here is the link: https://allnurses.com/ny-nursing-programs/

I agree about the warning. You can get everything you need directly from Excelsior. There's no need to waste money on Rue, Moore, Chancelors, etc.
I graduated the BSN program at the same time as Hoolahan. Overall, my experiences were positive (except for some gripes about the PRPE). It took me 19 months to complete the program (skipped the ADN). I felt I was very well prepared, I've been an ICU float nurse for a couple of years & am now Director of Nursing (I hate the Administrator so I think I'll go back to agency until I find something I like better).
Hi Hoolahan! I've been off the board for a few months with this new job. How's your job going?
