Ex- Saudi Filipino nurse applying for NMC-UK

World Registration

Published

Hi there!

I just want to ask somebody here who has experience in processing for the NMC-UK with a previous experience in Saudi Arabia. Herewith are the requirements for an ex-saudi nurse to comply. Please do correct me if there are any mistakes or errors.

1 . Final EXIT Visa in ENGLISH

2. Police Clearance from Saudi Arabia - translated and stamped by the Chamber of Commerce

3. NMC FORMS - License verification from SCFHS to NMC ( to be filled up and sent )

4. Employment certificate from Saudi

- needs to have details of sick leave

-reference letter from employer less than six months with official stamp

5. Good Standing Certificate - less than six months

6. SCFHS Certification ( Gray Colored Certificate) copy in with english translation

7. Copy of SCFHS card

I know these are a lot but I just wanted to clarify on how do I obtain these especially that it has been a year since I worked from the hospital. Is it necessary to have these forms completed? thanks for the help.

TIPS and advice are very much needed. Thank you

Hello guys.. Does anyone have an idea what the UK embassy requires for Ex-saudi nurses...?

Im worried that if police clearance from saudi is required, I got mine on April 2014 but my final exit was on October 2014...

so maybe it's a bit outdated in relation to my exit date...

Does anybody know if UKVI will require a recent saudi police clearance? and if ever, how will I get one since Im already residing in the Philippines...

Thank you so much... :)

@mayen I am still waiting for my DL. I actually got my feedback last nov 20. But the files I needed from Saudi took months. NMC received the last of my files last friday. I hope there won't be any more delays after this. Anyways, I'd like to ask did you need a police clearance for the Trust to process your COS and Visa? Were you able to submit one?

hello... are u in UK already? May I know if saudi police clearance is needed in COS and VISA application? thank u...

Hi there, this forum is very helpful to ex saudi nurses. Here is my dilemma:

Ive worked in the kSA for 2 years, left the country with no COE, exit visa and police clearance, rather a re entry visa was given. I did not come back in the kingdom because I got married and got pregnant and have to take care of my young. I got my sc certificate and id. I am currently employed as a nurse for 3 years.

Im now on NMC assessment for docs and been wondering what to do now.

1. Do I really need to secure a police clearance?

2. For visa processing will they ask for it?

thanks in advance... :D

hello bcreese, may I please know what happened to your application? I have the same case as yours, no documents from ksa. can I still apply in the UK? thanks in advance.

Hi, I am ex-Saudi RN, I worked there for 2 years, from 2012-2014. To answer your queries:

1. Final Exit Visa in English

- I uploaded this document in my NMC portal together with the 'exit stamp' in my passport, in replacement of my Saudi Police Clearance. Have these documents (final exit visa and exit stamp) be translated in English. I had it done at NCMF (National Commission of Muslim Filipino) at Commonwealth Ave, QC. And also, secure a certification from the translator that he/she is 'verified' to do the translating.

2. Police Clearance from Saudi Arabia - translated and stamped by the Chamber of Commerce

- If you have one, then good for you. I'm not just really sure if it needs to be translated under the Chamber of Commerce. Maybe if you are residing at Saudi or you know anyone there? Then maybe it's possible. But if it's not, you can just go ahead and have it translated at NCMF.

- If you don't have one, like for my case and some other ex-saudi RNs here, see my answer in Number 1.

3. NMC FORMS - License verification from SCFHS to NMC ( to be filled up and sent )

- I left Saudi last 2014. I don't have anyone who can process one for me inside the Kingdom. I emailed NMC about this. I asked for further queries and told them about my case. They advised me that I should just download a blank form of this Registration Authority Form (or the form intended to be sent to SCFHS), attach a copy of my Good Standing Certificate from SCFHS, and also send in an explanation letter why this form is blank.

4. Employment certificate from Saudi - needs to have details of sick leave

- My COE from my Saudi employer don't have any details of my sick leave or absences. And as far as I know, I did not send a copy of my COE to NMC.

- reference letter from employer less than six months with official stamp

I guess if you're talking about the Reference Forms downloaded from the NMC portal, your employer don't need to send in a copy of a reference letter. They only have to sign the forms properly and must fill up all the blanks required. Forms must be signed/dated/stamped by your referee and must be submitted to NMC via post. If they don't have stamps, then they can make a letter explaining why.

If you're talking about the REFERENCE/Recommendation letter from your Saudi employer, I guess, this one depends on your agency or your UK employer. Because after I received my DL/OSCE Letter this March, my UK agency asked me if I can submit a new reference letter from my current employment, saying that the ISSUE date of the reference letter should be current. I submitted mine last Nov 2016, they wanted a new one with March 2017 (or current date) on it. And they only asked me for my current experience, not my previous one (Saudi experience).

So if your last employment was still with Saudi, then you have to get a new reference letter with a new issue date. Again, I'm not sure about this because this is really dependent on your UK employer/agency.

5. Good Standing Certificate - less than six months

Yes, you need this one and this must be received within three months of the issue date. NMC won't accept outdated ones. You can get COGS online. :)

6. SCFHS Certification ( Gray Colored Certificate) copy in with english translation

- If you have this one, good for you. Have it translated and you can upload this one in your portal under the registration certificate.

- If you don't have one, I suggest you have to email NMC regarding this, they will give you suggestions on what to do and what documents you can submit in behalf of this lacking document. I've known some members in this forum who don't have this SCFHS Certification but still they were able to get their DL. :) Just give NMC a call or best an email. :)

7. Copy of SCFHS card

- You can submit this in support of your Saudi documents. I submitted a copy of my SCFHS card together with my NMC blank forms.

***

So, there you go. Again, if you do have questions especially if it's related to your Saudi documents or employment, don't hesitate to call or email NMC. They are the best people who can answer your questions.

I have only answered some of your questions based on my experience and my case maybe different from yours, so just give NMC a call. I was put on queue last January 25 and I received my DL last March 17. With all the lacking documents and all, I couldn't be anymore grateful. :)

I hope this helps!

Hi po!

I was searching for some answers for my queries and I came across your post. I am also an ex-saudi nurse and I just recently passed my CBT. I am currently processing my documents for the application. Regarding my Saudi Documents, I was able to obtain a police clearance but it was not authenticated as I didn't have enough time to process it and also I was not given a copy of my final exit visa but only an exit stamp on my passport. Will the NMC accept it? Your reply is deeply appreciated. Thank You!!!

Hi,

Saudi Police Clearance is only valid for 6 months from date of issue. I am not sure about the authentication of police clearance because I didn't authenticate mine. What NMc wants is to have it translated into english and be certified.

In regards to exit visa, NMC accepts the exit stamp on your passport. Photocopy the exit stamp and have it translated into english and certified as well. You can visit the Commission of Muslim Filipino in Quezon City, I forgot the exact address but it is near UP Diliman. Just google the location or you can back read this thread.

Hope it helps.

hi there! thank you for responding to my concern. I am kinda lost and overwhelmed with all these requirements. you are a big help! Regarding my concern, do I need to make an explanation letter explaining why my police clearance is past the validity date for the nmc?

also, I am about to get my Cert. of Good Standing online and will ask my relative to pay it for me through her atm. however she is based in jeddah and I was employed in Riyadh. Can I use her saudi mobile number and her atm to pay for the needed fee? or it should also be someone from riyadh? I apologize for asking too many queries. I really hope you can give an advice for me on this one. thank you in advance and God bless!

hi have you sorted it yet? how did you obtain your police clearance for visa application??

Thank you so much for replying and for your advise. Yes, I do have a re entry visa which technically means I did not finish my contract but I worked in a private polyclinic where we did not have any signed contracts at all. Upon finishing my 2 year contract with them, we did have a verbal agreement of renewing it but no signing of papers where involved. It was a complicated case because the clinic was sold to another employer during my renewal. The present employer was new to this type of business and did'nt know exaclty the things to be done so when I decided to end my services there they said they will give me a re entry visa incase I wanted to go back and if not,it will not be a problem because they also issued an exit visa. Well, this is also one of my problems now since a final exit paper is needed for nmc.

Anyway, thank you again and I guess I will follow your suggestion on contacting the nmc for this. I hope things will go smoothly. Please don't forget to send the announcement from scfhs to my email. Stay safe and God bless.

hi, how was your application???

Hi, PinVE.

Is it okay if I will just use my exit stamp on my passport? I have my final exit visa but there is a discrepancy ubder the proffesion section. I was an ICU nirse in saudi before, but my employer put "birth and gynecology nurse" on my final exit visa. It's difficult for me to ask my employer to write an explanation letter regarding the wrong information.. Please reply. Thank you so much. Congratulations on receiving your DL.:)

hi, how about in the visa application.they require saudi police clearance, what did you presented??

Hello, all!

How did you know the registration date of your saudi license? I'm having difficulty in finding mine, because only the expiration/validity date is available on the saudi council ID. Please help. Thank you so much.:)

it is in the PAC

Good day fellow nurses!

Like everyone else here i have also worked in Saudi Arabia from 2013 to 2016. Thankfully, i have passed the IELTS and CBT, and now i have few more problems.

I was able to get a police clearance before I left, but now the agency advised me to get a new one since it has already been a year.

Will the NMC accept my police clearance even when it is already outdated? Is it just valid for 6 months? I have not returned to the kingdom so I suppose my records would still be clear. Thank you for the response.

hi, have you sorted this out?? may i know what did you do to sort this

hi! do you have a sample copy of filled-out reference form.i'll just send it to my seniors in KSA for reference.Hope you can help me.thank u!
