Evergreen Valley College (EVC) Fall 2024 Spring 2025

Hello! Wanted to create a community of us applying to EVC's nursing program in 2024. Let's share our journey!

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing acceptance into the San Jose State BSN program, supplemental applications for the CEP dual enrollment, confirmation emails for intent to enroll, deadlines for submitting CEP portions, being pulled off the alternate list, cohort placements, ICCP program decisions, fit testing for respirators, and sharing experiences with the program. Some members are also looking for links to join a Discord group related to the program.

This is a forum for those who are applying to EVC's nursing program in 2024 in both fall and Spring (2025) semester. It has been a wait, and it would be great hearing from other students who are applying as well about their journey to entering a nursing program and share advice while going through this process. We are here to uplift each other and make the overall competitive nature more inclusive!

So from what I know, it may take a month and a half to hear back from EVC (straight from the horse's mouth). Many applicants I've heard from previous cohorts have gotten in with surprisingly not as high scores. Many I hear have been getting especially off of the waitlist.

About me. I am a volunteer at a local hospital in the bay area (+300 hours). My overall score on the application was an 83 and my TEAS score is 88

@lalawekesa when I log in, where it says ID:, Status:, and Last Edited:, next to status, it says under review. Not sure what it means, I've heard other people on here say they know people where it never said under review who got in.

Yea mine has been edited but only says submitted also. Well that's a bummer but I wish everyone luck. Where else did you all apply? I applied to ARC and SCC

I only applied to EVC and Monterey Peninsula where I was denied.  I know I should have applied to more schools, but didn't want to retake anatomy (I took it more than 7 years ago), these two schools didn't have the recency requirement.  Sure hoping I get in to EVC, if not I'll probably stop trying and do a masters instead.

I'm sure it would be posted so I don't want to be annoying, but anything? I've already heard back from all the other schools I applied to 😭

I haven't heard back anything either but I feel it I've been super anxious to hear back from them. It feels like they're taking forever because so many other schools released their decisions already 😕

Wait so I wonder what it says instead because mine says 'under review' still 😭

Hi everyone, so has anyone's application moved status from either submitted or under review? I heard from previous cohorts that if it goes to 'review round', then you were most likely accepted. I also learned that this is the longest they've gone in not releasing decisions. The wait is killing me.

Nope nothing different. Mine still says "under review" for the status and was last edited yesterday morning.

Same! Obsessively checking it and anxiously waiting 😂

I had a friend call and check when we should hear back... They said by the end of April....

They said they just finished the first review and are just starting the faculty review.

Late April now?? Seriously?

I'm just as surprised as you are! I'm assuming it's because they received way more applicants since they extended the deadline. regardless, I think late April is so late. Hopefully they get through them sooner than later...

Yup, going to accept a different college instead of waiting. Late April is WHACK.

Good luck to all of you! You got this.

suuuper late but all the information I have been reading has been soooo helpful and comforting 😮💨

I have been working towards my RN for along time... started right after HS 2012. It took so long due to working and taking a few gaps but here we are. Worked as CNA since 2013 at 2 different SNFs and as a home caregiver. Now I'm working in the Emergency room.  I am far deep into this to do anything else. As much as I question it sometimes... I randomly interact with that one patient that reminds me why I continue to stay.
I was afraid to take my TEAS and pushed it out 2 years.. but I finally did it with encouragement by a friend/fellow applicant and got an 84%

My application says "submitted" and has been edited a few times. I am trying to not look much into it because I will read my application over and over seeing if I messed up something 😅

Sending all good vibes and crossing fingers and toes for all of us!
