This is a forum for those who are applying to EVC's nursing program in 2024 in both fall and Spring (2025) semester. It has been a wait, and it would be great hearing from other students who are applying as well about their journey to entering a nursing program and share advice while going through this process. We are here to uplift each other and make the overall competitive nature more inclusive!
So from what I know, it may take a month and a half to hear back from EVC (straight from the horse's mouth). Many applicants I've heard from previous cohorts have gotten in with surprisingly not as high scores. Many I hear have been getting especially off of the waitlist.
About me. I am a volunteer at a local hospital in the bay area (+300 hours). My overall score on the application was an 83 and my TEAS score is 88
Does anyone have the admissions stats from last year's application cycle? One year they told me the range of points for accepted student and alternates. Last year they didn't.

I heard the lowest was around the mid 60s, but also consider the fact that many of those people that applied to EVC declined because they were offered their more desired admission elsewhere
Glad I was not the only one worrying about this program. Hi guys, I'm starting to stress out. My application says under review, and last edit was on 4/15. I actually did not have such a huge point on my application, compared to some of you. Does intimidate me a little, but gives me hope they have edited this far out 😫 hopefully they have two programs running out. I did see they offered us an extension if we wanted to do our BSN? Correct me if I'm wrong. Trying to stay hopeful!

Nothing here either. My app still hasn't been edited again. Last edit 3/22. So I'm thinking it's probably a no for me. But at this point I just want to know so I can move on to Nightingale if I don't get a spot. I've already heard from the other schools I applied to like a month ago.

I might have to start looking elsewhere. Can't wait till May or end of May
Same. I've been applying to nursing school for 4 years. This is the last time I'm trying for community college. If I don't get in here I'm just going to go to Nightingale for sure.
I have thought of Nightingale. I have a coworker who went through the program..
I was more so leaning towards Unitek. Again I know a few nurses I work with that have gone to Unitek... I live like 5 mins away from campus and I have educational assistance. They are waiting on me and need to hear something by May. Can't lose that $$

Sorry, to clarify, it was my own miscalculation. I always had 78 points apparently. Earlier I had stated I had 75 but I was merely guessing.
