Hello all,
I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.
Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?
I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.
And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??
Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Well I took my test last Thursday and did extremely well. Now just got to wait foe that interview call! Anybody else trying to start in January?
That great to hear. I'm also trying to start on Jan. (didn't get in last July). I'm going to be bringing as much letters of recommendations from my professors as I can and hopefully they'll take notice
Question.. Did anyone else feel they didnt get accepted due to your Pre-Reqs? Meaning because you had ALL your Pre-Reqs or some for that matter you would not be as "profitable" as someone who didnt have any. I had my interview and when i mentioned i had ALL my Pre-Reqs the lady told me my chances of getting in would be less. Something about i would have to start in the middle of the program and hope someone drops from the program at that moment. Bunch of BS!! Anyone else...?

Idk about that cuz I can tell you right now a big chunk of my class had at least some/ if not all of their prereqs done. Even if u had all of your sciences transferred you would still be taking at least one class from the beginning of the program. And the core classes start at 6 months. Unless you are an LVN, then you would start halfway in if your units were accepted
I am seeing some interesting posts lately. I have been away from the board for a bit. I am a current student in everests nursing program. I have verified that the credits will transfer to WGU baholars program. I have also verified that once a lisence is achieved all the universities I spoke to that are public would credit the nursing portions, but not the non-nursing classes, those would have to be retaken.
I am am not concerned at this time getting a higher degree. I know that previous everest graduates have been highered on to hospitals and are making good money. In my current class there are two LVNs that currently work for kaiser. I don't think they would be in a program that kaiser did not approve.
As with any educational choice, you have to do the research yourself. I recommend that anyone entering the program should see for themselves if it suits their needs.

Main thing is when u graduate, don't apply for the jobs that are easy to get into. My sister almost started working for this hospital (she signed the contract and everything with them) which offered her a really low starting pay before she got the phone call from kaiser.
