EVC Nursing 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey, I haven't found a forum for the new nursing application for Evergreen Valley College. I was wondering anyone can share their scores. I have 62, I am not sure if its high enough to get into the program.

If I remember correctly, I applied with 65 points. Low TEAS score, but I was able to get more points in the other sections.

Okay thank you!
Were you on the alternate list or got in right away? I’m applying with 62 points I believe. I am a little nervous

I was #3 on the alternate list. I think you have a good chance! I'm not sure how much this covid situation will affect the number of applicants for this cohort, but as mentioned above, even if you end up on the alternate list you will have a guaranteed spot for next year. Plus, they draw alternates for both the fall and Spring semesters.

How would you say the program is? I would love to know your opinion on the program and how the professors are and all that. Thank you!

Personally, I couldn't be happier with this program. Our first semester instructors were amazing. Despite the chaos with Covid, it seems that the instructors really kept it together and were well organized given our circumstances. They replied quickly to any questions/concerns and always uploaded our upcoming assignments well ahead of time. Our Dean really fought for us to have clinical in-person last semester which was great experience. (Some programs weren't lucky enough to have in-person clinical at all and had to switch everything virtually)

That's amazing, I did take one course at EVC and I really liked the professor. Also, all the administration are so quick in responding to emails compared to others schools that I've emailed. May I ask where did you do your clinicals this semester?

For first semester we were split into 3 groups. I was in the group that did clinicals at Santa Clara Valley Medical on the neuro-rehab floor. My other classmates were either at O'Connor or St. Lousie Regional.

Lectures are online, exams are proctored online. For the most part they try to get you in person clinicals if they can if not they use Kaplan online simulationa

A little bit more than 3 weeks you guys! I'm so nervous but in a way accepted if it doesn't work out. I'm trying my best to be positive. Wish they would tell us already LOL . Almost there!
