Has anyone had any problems/positives from ETOH hand sanitizer? I worry I will get a false positive.

Thoughts......

I didn't have any problems, but then I tried not to use it very often. I was told straight out by my monitoring board to avoid it. I just washed my hands with soap and water and also bought some non alcohol based hand sanitizer online. I believe it's more about you inhaling the fumes rather than anything soaking into your skin, I've read that anyway but can't confirm for sure. So if I were you, I'd just try to avoid using it and if you can't avoid it once it awhile, hold your breath!

I never used it while I was in the program and rarely use it at all. I find plain old handwashing to do the job just fine. My worksite monitor and the time told the infection control nurse that I was allergic to all alcohol and triclosan based products and to let me just wash my hands.

Hppy

Don't use it. Buy alcohol free sanitizer. I had an "incidental exposure". That is what TPAPN called it when the level was so low and they called my supervisor to see if I had been under the influence of alcohol at work or if I had been using the hand sanitizer at work which I had been using the latter. They said it as okay and switch to alcohol free which I did. Fast foreword a year or so and I started using liquid DHEA/Pregnenolone drops from GNC under the tongue and I had a second "incidental exposure" from the drops. I had no idea there was alcohol in the mixture which I later found out from my toxicologist contact is used as a preservative in many OTC liquids. My fault and I have paid dearly! TPAPN kicked me out and I bought myself a 3yr board order for two incidental exposures. Use nothing unless you know for sure!!!!

Don't use it. Germ x foaming alcohol free hand sanitizer. Order from Sams online.

I personally used it all the time, and have passed many etg urine tests, and peth blood tests while using it frequently. It sounds like some others on this forum haven't been so fortunate however.
