Esme Needs Your Prayers and Well Wishes

Esme had emergency surgery Saturday and is in ICU. She is doing better, but is still very uncomfortable.

She could use some extra prayers and well-wishes from her friends here on allnurses.

As nurses, we frequently hear "emergency surgery" and "ICU" in the same sentence, and we don't generally think much about it. Until it involves a friend.

Esme, I know we don't know each other well, but hear me when I tell you that I know you are a fighter. I know you are where you need to be, surrounded by talented, professional caregivers who are going to help get you well quickly. I will send up some prayers, keep you in my thoughts, and I know you'll be well in no time! Sending love and hugs.

I hope she comes out of it well and comes back to us. I consider her one of AN's most valuable contributors.

On a side note can you imagine the pressure of being her nurse? I would be nervous as a new grad taking care of her clinical instructor.

Casper thanks you.....she was inconsolable and drove everyone to distraction.....my poor puppy. I hear from my kids.

they did....and I actually had my own....I just didn't have the energy to do more than read. This is my PT this morning....LOL.....I have read each and every post and I am so thankful for everyone....you all have NO IDEA what this has meant to me.

I hope by now you are out of the ICU!

Thanks!! I was able to stay in ICU I was down graded to tele on Thursday night and they took kindness out on me and there was no one not confused or infected to moved me with...LOL
