265ers support group

Published

i just want to start a support group for people who ended up with 265 questions. i know there's another thread but it's 4 years old and i would rather know opinions and experiences of the ones who just took NCLEX recently.

i took mine and ended up with 265 and i know for a fact that i was the last person to finish. so i know that i failed. i was anxious the whole entire time and cold. i mean that room was very cold.

so right now i am waiting for my results and i am becoming borderline delusional. ahhh.

anybody else want to share?

Thanks for starting this post. I too had to take 265 questions, and did not pass. I am now in the process of trying to develop a new strategy for success the next time. I hope you passed. We had 24 to graduate from our BSN program, and so far everyone has passed but two of us. Makes be feel really stupid. :stone

Hold out for your results....don't make any assumptions! I should start a 698 Club (It took me 3 times to pass NCLEX and that is how many total questions I've had to answer to attain my RN)...the last test I took, I answered 226 questions AND TIME RAN OUT! In that certain scenario, they take the last 60 questions and determine if you are "worthy". I have had friends take the NCLEX and still pass with 265 questions answered. Perhaps they do the same thing as with me (look at the last 60 questions etc etc)

This is for sure...people HAVE passed with 265....you have to hang your hat on this fact and keep hope alive during this "limbo stage"...if you don't pass, keep going....it WILL happen.

I took the Exam on Monday, 6/23/08, here in San Diego. I got 265 Questions. The EXAM was Brutal, to say the Least. It was Very Difficult, with Odd, Of The Wall questions. I had only 3 minutes to spare when I hit 265, & I only took one 5 minute break. I haven't heard anything yet, My name is Not Posted on The Board of Nursing, so I am Pretty Sure that I Failed. I am confident that I got the Last Question Correct Because I Looked it up when I returned home, However; according to The Kaplan Study Book stated that if the last question is not considered at "The Highest Level of Difficulty" then the applicant fails. The Entire Exam was at The Highest Level of Difficulty. Everytime that I got a String of Questions Correct, I would get a Select All That Apply Question. I Know I got at Least 20 of them. I feel that if I did fail, at least I came close to passing. I think that if you are doing poorly, The Computer will Shut off much sooner. I studied using Saunders, Kaplan, & NCLEX Made Incredibly easy. I studied 6-8 Hours Per Day for 2 months prior to the exam. What Other Study Materials/Methods can you recommend for Next time? I'm open to any suggestions. All replies Welcome.:saint: Thanks In Advance.

thanks so much jersey...

it's kinda hard to focus though cus i am such a whimp! i worry too much of what others think and i think too much of the fact that i'm probably the only one that failed NCLEX in my group. and then i feel sorry for myself for trying so hard and then failing. i think about all the wasted time, effort, money.... pretty much i am self-loathing. it is such a struggle..
