Nursing Students TEAS

Since ATI provides no student assistance to interpret scores, let's help each other! If enough of us enter our complete TEAS scores, we'll be able to compare notes to see how we rank in different programs, what to aim for if your school requires a Program percentile rank rather than a series of scores, etc. There is another thread where people are sharing their scores, but it looks like most people are just sharing their Adjusted Individual Total Score or whatever applies to their particular school. By sharing all the info, we can help each other better.

Please copy the scores below and then change them to your own, in your post! thanks! Please make sure to check your Program Type! It's right under the name of the school where you took it, on your score sheet.

Hi everyone, I just took the ATI TEAS V test (the first time) today at CCCnj and I am very disappointed..I studied so much, with the McGraw-Hill's, the study manual and one online prep test. On the ati manual and mcgraw tests I scored at the 85% and on the first online pract. 71 and on the second a 82%. I was prepared for at least 80, but IT WAS SO HARD! nothing like the ones in the book(their manual) O_O why they are selling that?? My reading and math were always the highest..I just came here 1 1/2 years ago from Germany and took a English as Second language class just last year. I am OK with grammar but my vocabulary is just basic. I run out of time at Reading because I just did not understand all about the text and the questions so I guessed some. I even did not understand some questions in the Sciene part..whatever no excuses. I am just waiting until end may to see whether I am in the program or not.

BTW I read some posts on the PERCENTILE RANK and I still did not get it...what does that mean?? when my percentile is 81, does that mean there are 19 people who scored better than me?

Thank in advance and good luck for everyone :)

I do not know where these COLORs come from...

Peace & Blessings be upon you,

I am sorry you are not happy with your score. Actually it is not that bad! Because you see the national average is about 50%-60%. As long as you score ABOVE that you will probably be considered by the ADN program. Your GPA is also VERY good so that will help you!

I hope you get into nursing school!

I got my scores! I am pretty happy! Hopefully this is good enough....

National Percentile Rank is the percentage that you scored higher than other students taking the TEAS. So you scored higher than 80% of the people that took the test.

Program Percentile Rank: You scored higher than 81% of the people that put ADN as their program.

OK, thats not that confusing :D in fact pretty self-explanatory... Thank you Don1984.

Also, thank you MrsFrancis I am trying not to be stressed out and worry that much. It will not be the end of world and there is always something else to do :) I am hoping for something auspicious insallah.

Ok I just have a quick question. I know the program I am trying to enter takes the top 80 scores on the Teas V! I got my scores but have to wait another like 2 weeks to see if I am accepted or not and quiet honestly it is driving me crazy! I am ranked 73 in the program. Can someone explain to me what this means? Does it mean 27 other people scored higher than me meaning I am in? Or am I 7 shy of being accepted? HELP ME!

Not really. 73 percentile means 73% of test takers score the same or below your score. (You can think of yourself as top 27% scorer.) If you want to deduce your chances, you need to know how many applicants usually apply to the program. If there are 300 applicants and they accept 80, then they accept top 27% scorers, which means your score would be close. If they usually get 500 applicants and accept 80, they accept top 17% of scorers in that case your score might not be high enough.

But it does depend on the applicant pool. Some schools get more competitive pool of applicants, some don't. Your best bet is to either look at previous discussions and see what admitted students got or just ask admission about the range or average of TEAS scores of admitted students.

Am taking the TEAS test tomorrow. ...Lord help me

I recently took the TEAS V on the 27th. I scored 68.7% overall. I really need help or advice. I studied most of my time on the math and science portion. I don't know if its just me or not, but the type of questions on these two sections I was dumbfounded, lol. Any advice or tips, such as websites to look at would be greatly appreciated.
