English Comp, Ethics, and A&P II (10 units) for Summer 2016?

Published

I recently moved from California to Florida for work and have decided to go back to school. I took all the pre-reqs necessary for the California schools I applied for, but didn't get in because my stats were not competitive enough.

After much counsel from advisers at St Petersburg College, I only need two classes before completing my pre-reqs for SPC: English Comp (came in as an elective) and Ethics. I need to retake A&P II as I got a C in it before.

I'm already registered for English Comp and Ethics this summer. Although I'm a Pinellas County resident, I'm still considered a nonresident and paying the exorbitant out-of-state fees. Would it be wise to take all three courses during the summer?

The major downfall is that I work full-time with no part-time options. However, all three classes are available online, so I could work around my schedule.

I'd hate to have to pay two semesters worth of nonresident fees considering I only have three classes to take, and by taking all the courses this summer, I'd be able to apply for Spring 2017 rather than Fall.

The non resident fees will be killer but the classes are very doable. I worked full time throughout pre-reqs and one summer I took three courses during that period. Sure I had no time aside for 2 months but knocking out those classes sooner rather than later was the smart thing to do.

Take A&P2 online if you can. I'm taking it online at SPC now and it's awesome. For my class, there were video tutorials of histology that tell/show you exactly what to look for. Provided I do well this semester, I should be starting the nursing program at SPC this fall. PM me if you want some more info, or even down the line :)

Just recognized your user name. Hi shrimp :D

The fees are insane, but I'd rather do it all at once and get it out of the way than wait till next year. Which classes did you take if you don't mind me asking?

Haha, glad you like the name.

I'll probably have to brush up with some Kahn Academy videos before taking it as it's been a few years. I'd love to get As in all three courses so that I don't have to stress come app time. I'll pm you once I reach the 15 quota! :D
