You can't get your license without a SSN in California. There are states that issue license with no SSN (such as Vemont, New Mexico)

What about Florida, do they need a SSN ?
How to get SSN if a candidate is not a US citizen:uhoh21:

SSN is one of the last things to worry about, you can't get a SSN until you arrive in the US and can prove that you have a valid reason for working in the US ie the right visa

Make sure to have your school send them a copy of your transcript ahead of time so by the time you're ready to endorse all you need to do is go to the Sacramento office and you can get a temporary license the same day.
thanks joan... but will they process my application without SS number???? because my lawyer is asking for my license and i believe license will not be issued until ssn becomes available... and we all know that ss number cann only be done if you have your EAD only... please help me

It depends where you will endorse your license. For example, if you endorse your license in California, they can issue you a license in a short period of time. You can look up the State's BON website and they have their requirements there.
