I think that is a good question. I would like to know also....

If you have a Ca license then yes you can endorse but if you do not have a Ca license (and if you have no SSN then you have no license) you have to apply by application for license and meet BON requirements for Illinois. You can have as many licenses as you want as long as you meet requirements

oh i see...in my case, i still don't have my SSN so considered no license yet. However, can i still apply to illinois? do i have to sit for another nclex exam? sorry, i'm just confused with this matter. thanks!

moved to the International forum, much has been written about this subject. You can still apply for licence by exam to Illinois and meet their requirements for foreign trained nurse and arrange with Cato forward your results for a small fee

You will not be endorsing but starting the process from scratch. You will not need to sit for the exam again provided that your three years is not up for your CA file.

But you will need to complete the CES which is a credentials eval before Illinois will even look at your application.

Much has already been written on this topic, please just do a search for it.
