Endorsement Application to Vermont

I'm from the Philippiens. I passed the California-NCLEX. Since I'm having problems acquaring a valid SSN, I'm planning to endorse my California-NCLEX to State of Vermont just so that I could get a permanent license in US. Supposed I already got RN license in Vermont and already working there as a nurse, is it still possible for me to reaaply my NCLEX in California (without having to retake the test) eventhough it has long been expired? My relatives are in California and I want to be as closed to them as possible. I will apprecaite any form of response.:)

im really so sorry i got really confused,, but the instructions you have given me differs from this :

vt requires the official nclex exam results. for example if you took the exam through ca; you will need to contact the california board of nursing and request a “certified copy of test results with photo” to be sent to the state of vermont board of nursing. california’s fee for this is $10.00. (if you’ve already completed this step please proceed to step 2)

vt will need to have the verification of education form completed by your school and your official transcripts sent to them. you can print the verification of education form from their website www.vtprofessionals.org on pages 5 and 6 of the international nurse application.

vt requires the license verification form completed for your original nursing license and your most current nursing license. you can print this form from their website www.vtprofessionals.org on page 7 of the international nurse application.

note: for nurses in the united kingdom: vt can verify the license online. you need to fill out the verification form by putting in the caller code and pin number so that they can access your information from the nmc website.

once vt receives this information, they will then be able to process your application for licensure through the state of vermont.

1.. it says here i need to call california for them to send the papers needed to be send to vermont.. and also it says here that the verification of education should be made by the school where i graduated..

i kinda get it, you mean i will be writing a letter ( hand written or type written?) to request for the candidate report with photo to the california BON? where will i address it and are they gonna send it directly to my address??

after getting that candidate report, i need to complete the forms and fees needed,, now how will i request for the CES report?? what form should i download?? the link you give to me was also the same with the one im gonna send to vermont.. where will i send the request of CES report??

after im done with that, if all forms are complted im gonna send it to vermont and wait for the license.. did i get it right? thanks!!!

read the instructions with the application to vermont... the CES report is requested through the cgfns... it usually takes a month or two to complete, depending on the arrival of your documents to the cgfns office...

YOU request the candidate report from cali BRN (it doesn't matter if you type or handwrite it... and YOU send it to VT together with your application... i got confused with the instructions you quoted above in the beginning as well about where to address the candidate report... look up other discussions about this so you wont get confused... you will get all the instructions you need in the application packet link from vermont that silverdragon and i sent you... it says there that you must INCLUDE in your application the candidate report from the state where you passed your nclex from so it means you are not to ask the cali brn to send it to them separately... visit other discussions, many have already done this and have discussed them clearly in other blogs... goodluck!

i have read the discussions related to this, it's very informative,, i made a request letter already, am i going to send it to the address same with the one sent to us that we passed the NCLEX exam? are they gonna send the candidate report to my home address?

and also i already made an account to the cgfns, and im about to print the forms "academic record request and license verification request",, but i couldn't find the link to download the form,, it doesnt have a link there.

also, i have read that you have chosen the full course by course,, but it is so expensive.. is it alright if i just apply for the science report?

i just wonder what are the difference between full course by course, health care profession and science reports?? these 3 were all accepted by the state of vermont.. if i chose the science report, is it gonna affect the processing of my application?

varying degrees on breakdown of transcripts. Full course by course is one I would suggest you go for because if you decide to continue education once in the US you may find that full course by course breakdown is required

they will send your requested copy to the address they have on file with your name... the full course is $50 more expensive than the health care report but the full course is generally accepted by other states so if you want to endorse to another state in the future, you just need to request cgfns to send them your CES report (since the full course comes with two copies)... the health care report is specific to VT... meaning when you want to get licensed to another state that requires a CES report, you will have to purchase an entirely different CES report...

I made a simple procedure for everybody so that you can follow if you wish to endorse your NCLEX results to Vermont. I hope this will help.

Procedure for applying RN license thru NCLEX results Endorsement to Vermont from California BON:

Step 1 Apply for Credential evaluation service full course by course specifically for the State of Vermont at CGFNS through online or by mail. Fill up application form and follow procedures strictly. Attached a certified true copy of high school diploma (must be in English) if not, have it translated and mail it to CGFNS in Pennsylvania. Attached the payment using bank demand draft of US$385 if you are mailing the application but if you decide to do it online, have your credit card ready so that you can pay it online. Be careful when filling up the form.

Step 2. Fill up license verification form included in the CES application form. Bring it to PRC manila and pay necessary fee. PRC Manila will then mail it directly to CGFNS.

Step 3 Fill up school credentials for university and bring the request to your university where you graduated B.S. in Nursing. Pay necessary fee. Your school will mail the verification papers directly to CGFNS.

Step 4 Prepare and mail a letter of request to CalBON to forward NCLEX results to Vermont BON. Attached a check / demand draft of USD60 pay in favor of CalBON with your letter of request. Mail it to CalBON. CalBON will forward your NCLEX results with your photograph to Vermont.

Step 5 If you don’t have a CGFNS username yet, sign in online and have a username and password so that you can check status of your CES application online via internet.

Note: after about one (1) MONTH, while waiting for CES report from CGFNS, apply for RN license at Vermont using NCLEX ENDORSEMENT FORM for International graduates using the following steps:

Step 1 Download a copy of the NCLEX Endorsement form for international nurses (those nurses who graduated outside the USA. Print a hard copy.

Step 2 Fill up the form and attach the payment of USD150 by demand draft pay to Vermont secretary of state. Get the details on the website. Attached zerox copy of passport, picture, etc.

Step 3 Mail application form together with the demand draft check of US$150 using Philippine registered mail or LBC or fedEx depending on your budget.

Step 4 As soon as Vermont received your application form, they will email you your username and password for you to check your application status on the website.

Note: You need to check status of your CES report at CGFNS thru online. Vermont will not issue you a license if they have not received your CES report from CGFNS. Also, Please check their website application packet and requirements. Your application will depend on how quick you can produce and submit all the requirements at Vermont.

hi rocket bomber, have you done this before? because i e-mailed the VT BRN and they said that i should submit my candidate report (the one that costs $10) TOGETHER with my application... and i wrote cali BRN as well and they said i need to request this and the fee is $10 and they will send it to ME... because i initially wanted to request the online verification as well (the one that costs $60) but the application packet of VT specifically instructs that the CANDIDATE REPORT WITH PHOTO must be ATTACHED with the application that will be submitted to VT... so i'm just asking if you have done this? because i we want to get this right... thanks!

thanks rocketbomber... i guess the VT BRN accepts the candidate report ($10) from CALI BRN that is mailed with the application packet as well since my friend just confirmed to me that this is what she did... requesting the endorsement online would have been so much easier and faster though :) like what you did... it's just more expensive :))

Guys thank you soooo much!!!

This thread is like a ray of light at the end of a loooong tunnel. knowing I passed the NCLEX-RN and not knowing what to do next was just excruciating. Like most of you guys, I dont have an employer waiting nor an agency to help me through all of these but I cant bear the thought of wasting my NCLEX result and bounce back to square one. I'll try VT and I'll let you know later.
