I know you guys can't diagnose me and it doesn't make much sense for me to try to put all my symptoms etc. here, so could you just post some links or any information you have on endometriosis please? I would really appreciate it.

TIA....

BabyRN2Be...I too was sexually abused for years by two family members...I know what you mean about hating the appointments, but I am sooo familiar with my dr. now and he knows all my history, that it doesn't bother me as much and my GP is a woman, so I'm okay there.

If you want to chat, PM me!

I know that this is an older post, however, was curious to see if you had gotten any answers. I was diagnosed with endometriosis almost 6 yrs ago, progressed to the point of having a hysterectomy 2 yrs ago. I found a site while I was between surgeries that helped me TREMENDOUSLY. It is http://www.hystersisters.com WONDERFUL site.

Hope you are doing better.

The birth control pills seem to have taken away much of the pain. This affirms for me that it is probably endometriosis and not IBS. Thanks for the website! I go back to my OB in June. I don't know what he is going to want to do but I would rather have surgery to help take care of it than be on BC forever! *sigh*

Hi CNM2B! I also see that this is an older post, but wanted to reply to your last statement about the surgery instead of taking BC forever. From personal experience, surgery is not always a fix. Endo often comes back even after surgery, in addition, new adhesions can grow in the abdominal cavity due to the trauma of abdominal surgery....adhere to bladder, colon, ect. Just wanted to make sure you knew that, my GYN did not tell me that before I had the surgery. I was young and thought it was a fix; was really angry when I found out it was not...will likely have to have surgery again before trying to get pregnant. Good luck with whatever you decide.

CNM2B,

First of all, thank you for your kind words in your last post to me. It helps to know I'm not the only one out there.

I was just wondering how you are doing? Any updates you would care to share with us? I was started on NuvaRing, and things are much better.

I know your pain, sister! :) I hope that you are doing better. If you'd like to PM me, feel free to do so!
