Thanks Suzy253! I might do that especially when I generate questions after reading all this stuff! I am getting the run around with my OB...he's put me on the pill to "wait and see" if it helps. I'm in miserable pain every day, so my GP is doing every test she can think of to try to help me. I can't stand the pain most days and have resorted to taking medications that I don't like.

I'm learning, learning, learning! Thanks so much Deb....It says that IBS can accompany it and that could be why they are having such a hard time diagnosing me, though we don't know for sure that I have IBS either! frustrating!

Check out some of the previous threads here, too... I know there have been several on uterine pain, endo, etc. Check some threads by "snoopy"... she had written quite a bit on this topic and seems to be suffering much as you are.

It appears that we are going through the same thing. I've had endometriosis for the past 10 years or so - can't remember exactly when I was diagnosed. It's very painful, and I've had several surgeries for it. It's getting very painful again and I have an appt on Friday. ACK! This is BAD. Earlier I had IBS along with it, but those symptoms have disappeared. There is a very strong familial link with it. My mom had it, and I've got it. I've also heard that if you start your period younger, then you are more likely to get it. At least that's what I've heard.

I am going to my dr. this morning to get my results from my CT scan. I'm not expecting much...I really think I am probably looking at surgery soon. I will be in touch!

Let us know how you are... I absolutely HATE GYN appts. I was sexually abused by an uncle and the victim forced sexual advances 18 months ago. I just don't see how people go to these appts like it was a walk around the block. Of all things to have wrong with me, I really hate GYN problems.

This has been a really bad week and I need to get some relief somehow.

BabyRN2Be...I too was sexually abused for years by two family members...I know what you mean about hating the appointments, but I am sooo familiar with my dr. now and he knows all my history, that it doesn't bother me as much and my GP is a woman, so I'm okay there.
