I am going, works is paying for it, how awesome is that! The previous conferences have been great, and I always have a blast with my friends everytime we go to one of these. ENA rocks!
Also going to the 2009 Trauma and Critical Care Update this week that is sponsered by my work-tons of great titles there as well. I am really excited! Always eager to learn new things trauma related!
We really do have the best job ever!
Here's the official ENA website...
From here you can download or look over the brochure which includes the sessions and prices....
What you mean "sneak in back door" of hospitals???Just wondering.
You know, to steal stuff!
Seriously, I think he meant networking for employment opportunities -- maybe to land a job that wasn't really advertised, that kind of thing.
I live close enough to drive up/over for a day ... I'm planning on doing just that! Not sure exactly when, but first I have to get fundage from work, which involves writing a justification for going.
I have been to the ENA national conference the past 3 years...every year has been great every year. Get to network with fellow ER nurses, hear the latest research, or maybe get a refresher on something you all ready know, the exhibit hall is full of free stuff!!! Might even land a new job. I would love to go this year...but finances this year...and couldn't get that much time off at my current travel assignment. The greatest thing...it does give you a renew sense that you can do ER nursing for another year, because you are not alone!

Hey to those of you haven't made any decisions or plans, Keep the ENA annual conference in OCT in your plans. WIth the current economy, it's a great way to network and sneak in the back door of some of the hospitals. Don't freak out over the price, I used priceline to plan the trip and got the hotel and flight for less than $500.
