Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply in SLMC-e.rod, though I heard that they will start the hiring process this coming September.. Do you have any idea on how many exams and interviews you will undergo before they will accept you for the training? Let me share with you the requirements needed: resume, photocopy of PRC license, board rating, board rating certificate, class ranking, GWA, TOR, diploma, and 2 pcs. 2x2 pics (white background)..
Your replies would be greatly appreciated..
Godbless! :wink2:
Hi, Anne12! Thank you for responding to my query. In your case, how long did you wait for them to contact you?
By the way, is SLMC Global particular with the trainings such as BLS/IVT? I am planning to submit my CV next week after the holiday, but I am thinking twice whether it would be better to accomplish the last training I need first so I can put it on my CV.
Thanks in advance! :)
I recently had my IVT and BLS but licenses have not yet been released. I am planning to apply for st lukes QC. If I get training from another institution now (I'm really tempted to get training from another institution now.. but.. I really want to work there in SLMC QC), will they accept that training in my resume so that I can apply as staff nurse in SLMC QC or I will have to go back to zero and apply as nurse trainee there at SLMC QC first to become a staff nurse? Your advices are very much appreciated :)
littlemissmuffet, I first passed my resume to SLMC-global last week of July, then the initial screening with the HR was a week after that. The third interview (panel interview) was held mid-September, then the technical interview was last Friday. Regarding the BLS/IVT, I think it's not really a requirement. Because my friend who's already a staff there told me that even though he already had an IVT license when he applied there last time, he still had to undergo another IVT seminar conducted by st. Luke's. But personally, I think you should undergo the ANSAP accredited IVT training so you can have their license.
Icedchips, I guess trainings and seminars will be your advantage. But to be a staff in St. Luke's, you don't have any choice but to undergo their training first.

hello jidousha! I have 80+ board rating. I think they'll call you right away if you have more than 80% rating. With regard to my assigned department, I still don't know yet. I'm still waiting for the result of my technical interview, although when I had my panel interview they asked me my preferred areas and why.
Thanks:) on an average, how long does it take to be able to be accepted for the training in SLMC? Because I'm planning to undergo training in another hospital's ERD this november and that is for 3 months. I'm afraid that they might contact me while I'm training and thus forfeit my opportunity in SLMC if that happens by the way, the hospital that I'm planning to train this nov does not guarantee absorption and I've heard that only few staff are resigning there.. I'm planning to apply at SLMC this week..
i went yesterday. the travel is longer than the time spent passing my resume. made a little chit chat to the lady guard cause i really want to pass my application inside hr but she said i should just leave my documents with her. i asked if she knows when they will start calling applicants but she doesn't have a clue and said they deliver collected resumes at 1pm daily. i hope they call me soon.

Epaj1990, I really can't say whether I did good or bad in the technical interview. The process was a little different from what I thought. In the interview, we were tasked to strategize on how to build the tallest tower as a group using tinker blocks. (In 45 seconds!). We were also asked to introduce ourselves in a way that others will be able to remember our name. I guess the interview is to find out more of our personality and our capability to "fit-in" in the SLMC institution. Regarding the overall time duration of the application process, I donkt really have any idea. Some institution will call you for an interview right away, while others may take months. I think the best option is to pass your resume to several hospitals and wait which hospital will respond first.
