Emory University Nursing / D-ABSN Spring 2022

Published

Hi, I'm applying for the Spring 2022 d-ABSN program for Emory. I was wondering a few things:

  • Is anyone else interested or started to apply for Spring 2022?
  • Anyone from previous cohorts:
    • How quickly did you hear back with an acceptance?
    • How are you paying for the approx. $78,000 tuition?
    • What is the school-life balance like?
    • How quickly did you get a job offer before graduation?

Thank you!

I’m applying for the Spring 2022 cohort as well! I applied back in early March, just waiting to hear a decision ?

Do you know when the application closes? Also, did you write the optional personal statement?

I’m not to sure. I emailed admissions and they said it can take up to 12 weeks to make a decision. I didn’t write the personal statement, how about you?

I’m in the process of writing one incase it could boost my prospects a little higher. I should go ahead and finish it if it takes 12 weeks to hear back ?

I was in a previous Spring cohort. I applied in May and didn't get my acceptance until September, and that seemed like their first round of decisions that went out.

The program is busy and you have to actively make time for your personal life and self care, but it is doable with good organization and prioritization. First semester we had class three days per week. Second & third we had class two days plus clinical 1-3 days depending on scheduling. Studying outside of class was 8-10 hours on non-class/clinical days. If you're someone who likes to read the book and take detailed notes, there is nowhere near enough time to do that.

Jobwise, I started looking in September and had three offers in October for residency programs. However, I think the local job market varies a lot and some places prefer to wait until you have your license to do interviews and offers.

Applied to this cohort as well! My application was submitted early on in March, so I hope I hear back around the priority 1 deadline notification.

Hi guys,

Is this strictly for the D-ABSN?  I applied back in March too, but it was for the InEmory program that starts Spring 2022. Overly anxious as well, but I am telling myself that I probably won't receive any notification until July.

Hello everyone I also applied for the InEmory MSN Spring 2022. I have a few prerequisites to take. However, I have a completed Bachelors degree with a 3.2 GPA and a Master's degree in Information Technology with a 4.0 GPA. Hopefully, I have a good shot at getting into the program. Also, I submitted my personal statement. I called and asked what do they look at for acceptance and she told me that they don't look at one particular thing, that they take more of a holistic approach. Hope this helps!

Hello!

I also applied for the Spring InEmory MN, I look forward to potentially studying and working alongside those of you who also applied!

Has anyone heard back yet? I just submitted my application this week so I likely won’t hear until end of July.

Yes, those applying for the InEmory Masters program will hear back in July. I just finished my application today for the DABSN program. Do y’all know if the standardized scores are required now? And is there an official “submit” application option or is just green check marks?

@NursehopefulACM  that is good to know that they are looking at a more holistic approach. I am also currently taking prerequisites but, I hope I have a good shot!

@cmb4580 Haven't heard anything back. So most likely, we will hear something in July.
