Emory New RN Residency Fall 2015

U.S.A. Georgia

Hey, so I haven't seen any new threads pop up about the next round of Emory's new grad residencies. Has anyone applied recently/heard anything? I'm scheduled for an interview at Midtown on the 30th, but I'd like to talk to/hear from others going through the process or those who have already been through it. Anyone know if the interview is just the group, or if you pass the group interview and then have to come back for another one-on-one? I'm from out-of-state.

How long after your call for an interview did you get a confirmation email with directions on where to go on the day of? I assumed they'd send it right away, but I haven't received mine

I was sent an email the same day, but I've read about others not getting their information for up to a few days after.

Just got an offer for critical care at Emory University Hospital. Woohoo.

That's so wonderful!! How long after your interview did you hear back? I have one for med/surg tomorrow

Thats great! I interviewed with critical care yesterday as well. Which session were you in? What unit offered you?

I interviewed with critical care yesterday and was offered a position in the progressive care unit today. I turned it down, so hopefully one of you guys will be offered the spot!

Interviewed at 0900 yesterday. Offered neuro ICU around 1100 am today. Quick turnaround!

I interviewed at 9:00 am yesterday. Offered neuro ICU around 11:00 am this morning. Quick turnaround!

Congrats to those who got job offers and good luck to those like me interviewing tomorrow! :nailbiting: Ahhh I'm so nervous lol

Can i ask what kinds of questions were you asked? How was the interview process?

Wow they are quick with the offers. To the person who was offered progressive care- what was your first choice? It is a group panel interview. Not sure which units you are interviewing with but critical care had about 6 candidates with 5 leaders/managers. We all sat a table with the leaders sitting across from us. They asked one question for each candidate and then they told us in detail about the residency program

Neuro/CVICU interviewed together. Four candidates across from 4 managers. VERY laid back and relaxed. The managers were wonderful about making us feel comfortable and all of the candidates were very friendly. They let you ask questions, too.

Questions are are mostly behavior-based.

Ohh ok maybe thats why you heard back so fast. I interviewed with MICU and SICU and they said they will send offers next week. Did you accept the offer
