Hey, so I haven't seen any new threads pop up about the next round of Emory's new grad residencies. Has anyone applied recently/heard anything? I'm scheduled for an interview at Midtown on the 30th, but I'd like to talk to/hear from others going through the process or those who have already been through it. Anyone know if the interview is just the group, or if you pass the group interview and then have to come back for another one-on-one? I'm from out-of-state.

I'm still waiting to hear back about the first round of interviews (I applied on March 25, which was pretty late). I spoke with hr a few days ago, and they're still working hard on scheduling people for the interviews.

I am scheduled for interview at University on the 28th. I am also out of state and I get the impression that this is only the 1st round and there is at least a 2nd round of interviews after this one.
I actually just emailed Amanda Kranz about this problem with being out-of-state, and she got back to me saying that "all hiring decisions for the resident program will be based off this one, initial interview." So I guess there really is only one round?

I also have an interview @ Midtown on the 30th! I'm from out of state as well (Minneosta) So i'm busy looking for cheap flights. Is yours for the med/surg residency as well?
That's cool! In the morning? Mine's at 10. No, I'm interviewing for their women's health residency. Really hope I get it!!
Good luck!! I'm sure you will get it. Mine is at 1:30!

Hey all! I actually started a thread on this topic a couple of months ago and didn't get many replies. Anyway, I interviewed with University on April 16th for the perioperative residency and got a call the next morning offering me a position! Unless the OR is different, I think you should only have one interview. I have an interview at Midtown on the 30th as well, at 10:00.
Congrats! What are you interviewing for at Midtown, also OR? What was the interview like? The description I got was kind of intimidating: me, alone with all the unit managers in the field I'm interested in (women's health). lol
I still haven't received my questionnaire or interview info, and I'm starting to get nervous. I've called hr a few times, and they keep saying that they have a huge amount of applicants, so we should hear something early this week. I have a nurse manager who wants to interview with me, but I don't even know what to tell her since I haven't heard anything. Sure wish I applied earlier! I'm assuming everyone with interviews applied prior to 3/25?
Yeah, I applied sometime in early Jan, and received the questionnaire early last month. I'm sure they're just really busy getting around to all the applicants. You'll get there! I think they'd tell you when you called if they weren't considering you anymore. In Cleveland where I lived before, you could interview with nurse managers even in HR didn't have a clue who you were - it's how a lot of the other students in my class got positions where they had their practicums. If the interview went well, the manager would just tell HR to go through the formality of the process with the student, ending with an offer. Maybe Emory is like that?
