The Fall 2021 application for Emory opens tomorrow so I wanted to create this thread for people to connect, share experiences with the application process, and stats (if you choose to). Good luck everyone!!

Congratulations on making your decision. Sounds super smart to me. I have the same issue with the justification of tuition cost compared to other schools. I have made a similar decision. When do you start Northeastern?
I start the University of Miami Summer 2021....so in a few months. I plan to do NP school as well....and that can get expensive again....so when we get to that point....we have to be smart financially. Some great schools charge $40k for an NP....and then the top 5 or 10 schools charge more than double that. It's a balance between finding the right school and what you can afford.

Absolutely!! Miami sounds awesome, good luck. I figured why would I pay over $80,000 for one degree when I still have my NP to do. Northeastern is very expensive too but the merit scholarship I received made it affordable ?
Hi everyone. I was accepted in November, but haven't received my financial aid packet. However, in the 'financial account' section of OPUS, I have an amount under the 'pending financial aid.' For those that have received their financial aid packets, is your number the same as what you received in your packet (meaning, is that my likely aid) or is it probably just some kind of filler?
Thanks in advance! I'm going to email Financial Aid but thought I'd get an answer here faster ?

I applied to nurse midwifery and switched to women's health. How about you?
I think it's really nice that they give applicants another chance to be considered for a similar specialty. It works out for the population I want to work with, but I imagine this would be a harder decision for others. What do you think?
Does anyone know how many seats are in each program? I found out I didn’t get in to the midwifery program but would like to be considered for the women’s health one and want to know what the chances will be. Good luck to everyone else btw

Hi I don't know the answer to your question unfortunately, but did they let you switch specialties too? I wonder why some were automatically waitlisted while others had the option to switch.
For those of us who applied for the 2nd deadline in January, are there even going to be any seats left!? A bunch of my application has not even been processed yet. I uploaded everything to their portal, yet, it’s still reading as if half the items haven’t been submitted.
?
I emailed the school to ask what was up and I haven’t heard back either. Is anybody else in the same situation?
