Emory Master of Nursing (MN) 2021

The Fall 2021 application for Emory opens tomorrow so I wanted to create this thread for people to connect, share experiences with the application process, and stats (if you choose to). Good luck everyone!!

I just found out on Friday that I was admitted for the Fall Master of Nursing program! I am still over the moon and cannot believe it! To those of you that have already been admitted, congratulations! To everyone that is waitlisted or that didn't get in, DO NOT GIVE UP! Kennesaw State told me I wasn't good enough for their program in 2016, and now, I'm going to be an Emory University nurse! DON'T EVER LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR DREAMS! 

I was hoping to find & network with more of you guys that were also admitted for the MN! Has anyone started a facebook group yet? If not, I'd be happy to start one if anyone is interested! Let me know! Congratulations guys! Can't wait to meet some of you!

I just know I'm going to mess up the FAFSA. I'm applying to UPENN as well and they are want us to apply as 5th yr students for their second BSN. I am also applying to Hopkins and they said to apply as a college graduate. I spoke to FAFSA customer service and they essentially told me to apply to Penn, wait till that processes as a 5th year, and then add Hopkins and Emory and change myself to a graduate student.

Hi Kesha. I am just now reading this. Thank you for letting us know about this! Can I asks for a 100% confirmation that this is what they said haha?! I plan it to submit the FAFSA this week but I am hearing so many different things! Thank you in advance ?

Hi! I connected with another schools financial aid dept and they had something different to say. This is all so confusing. I spoke to someone from the financial aid office at Hopkins (a masters program) and I explained to her that I have to submit FAFSA for an ABSN and she said once I start the Master's one, it will mess up the processing of the ABSN one. Now I am not sure what to do. I think I'm going to contact FAFSA again. Overall, I trust the FAFSA advice more.

Would the people who got waitlisted or rejected mind sharing their stats? Just trying to see what Emory is looking for!

Hi guys! Has anyone figured out how to fill out the FAFSA? I've called FAFSA twice and talked to admissions officers.. but I'm still confused and everyone is saying different things. All of the nursing schools I am applying to are ABSN except for Emory. Do we submit it as a 5th year undergrad for the other schools first and then come back and add Emory and submit it as a graduate student?! (Then, won't that change the student level status for the other schools once we submit it twice for Emory?) Please, help ?
