Is anyone applying or have applied to Emory for the Fall 09 Semester. I have read in other threads from a couple of years ago that if you apply in November that you can here if you are accepted in January. Is that true? I have applied for the second degree program.
I love Ghana! We would go there to enjoy your beaches :) and your fried plantains... I got a chance to visit Kumasi and walk in the canopy and visit Cape Coast as well. Beautiful country! How long have you been in the States? Have you been able to visit home much? Is your family with you? Which program will you be in at Emory?
My mum and dad live in london, so i lived in london for several years. I moved to the US 3 years ago and haven't visited Ghana since. I am hoping to go back in the summer or during the Christmas season. Yeah, I was scared about walking on the canopy but I eventually did it. I am glad you enjoyed your trip to Africa. Good to know. I am in the BSN program. I gather you are too Lauralou2008?
I know, Jalin, it was weird. I have to say, I don't fully trust the "online decision" and am not really going to believe it until I get the actual letter in the mail. In my opinion, computer snafus can happen all the time and it could have been a mistake. What if there was a glitch & whoever is in charge of posting these thought I had applied to the standard BSN? Who knows why it's on there already! Even if I really am in, I don't necessarily think it was supposed to be online already, as noone else has posted on here with the same news re the segue program. Also, some people have emails and other things on their OPUS, yet no decision yet. I don't have an email assigned, yet I have this supposed decision. It's all weird, so I wouldn't let it bother you. I don't think it means anything, honestly! Keep positive thoughts!
Thank you for the encouragement. The waiting and uncertainty is the hardest part of this whole process.
Since we are waiting nervously for the mail tomorrow...does anyone know how large the BSN/MSN class is? How many application they receive?
I don't know much about the Emory program other than what is on the website and the general reputation of Emory. I was attracted to the program by its commitment to international health and underserved populations. What else sets the program apart from others?
