Emory DABSN 2nd Cohort

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi peeps,

I am currently in the process of finishing up my DABSN application for Emory Univ. But I have received an email for an interview here soon. I am wondering if there are other people out there considering this program as well. If so, you are more than welcomed to share. Also if you are applying for the Spring semester of April 2019 I would love if we could chat since there is a possibility we may be in the same program together. Anyway, send me some positive feedback.

Thanks in advance.

I sent you PM. Are you in the RDU area?

I applied for the Spring 2020 cohort at the end of May (when it first became available). I still haven't heard anything...

I only had A&P I, stats, CNA class, and TEAS completed at the time, so I was hoping that submitting my summer grades (A&P II & micro) would generate some movement. Nothing yet though.

For reference: 3.75 overall GPA, 4.0 on prereqs, 90%/98 percentile on TEAS

@kayji oh wow! You submitted a while back

Specializes in NICU.

I’m in cohort 2 if y’all have any questions. Feel free to PM me!

I was told the application was only available starting june 1st for the next year- I wonder if maybe that is the issue?

I don't think it's that. I hadn't heard June 1st, so I was just watching for the Spring application to be available. Also, the status has been getting updated as docs come in.

I asked them about the timeline in mid-July and they said they were still reviewing...

@LP7612 when did you apply and when did you get your decision?

Thats so odd!!! I thought it was rolling so people were being accepted as they go. Lp7612- is it ok if I get in touch with you via email? It says I can't message you.

@NCnurse Yea I don't think its rolling basis at least that is what I was told. It appears that way when applying but I don't think so.

As of Monday they "were still reviewing" I know today they came out with ABSN-MSN decisions so maybe it clears up for review of other programs.

@LP7612 I sent you a PM. Thanks for responding and offering to be of assistance with process.

No way?!! I spoke to someone at the Nursing school who said it was. Very confusing.

@NCnurse on 7 August 2019. I received this automated email:

The application for Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Spring 2020 programs are now accepting applications! We have two exciting programs available for spring entry.

Distance ABSN

InEmory ABSN

Our streamlined application should take no more than 10 minutes to complete, and you will be able to upload unofficial copies of your test scores and transcripts once you've completed the application.

I one point I want to say like April. I was told that they were not aware of when they would start reviewing application for D-ABSN
