Emory BSN Fall 2014 Applicants

Hi all. The application for Emory's BSN program recently became available. I am SO excited to finally be at this point after taking pre-reqs for 2.5 years! I am hoping to connect with other Emory hopefuls during this nerve wracking process! Anyone else planning to apply for next Fall?

I did, as I was told it would strengthen the application and I had to take it for other schools anyway. I probably didn't need to as my GPA, resume, and recs are above average, but I didn't want to take any chances. At the very least, it doesn't hurt to submit it.

If you do not mind me asking, what did you make on the TEAS?

Not as well as I had hoped, but I made an 82.

Does anybody know when acceptance letters are sent? I know March 1st is the official date, but I'm assuming it probably happens before that?

The decision is uploaded to OPUS on March 1st. I assume the letters will be sent after that

The last 2 years, decisions have been available around Feb. 15 in OPUS.

They were over 2 wks late giving the ABSN/MSN students decisions, which I'm sure will impact the Second Degree students since according to admissions they couldn't even start looking at applications until after ours were done, which was the 28th instead of the 15th.

I was told the traditional program has different admissions people from the segue program. But yes, if they are behind like that we may not hear anything til March 1. :/
