EMORY ABSN+MSN 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

So I decided to start a thread for the Fall 2017. Any current/prospective student on here? What GPA did you have when you applied and how competitive is the selection process? If you don't mind sharing your work experience and GRE score, that will be awesome. For those who are enrolled, do you mind sharing your experience?

It's whatever track you selected on your application. If you don't remember, I'm sure you can ask. Congrats :)

Congrats on your acceptances! Would any of you mind posting when you submitted and/or your stats? Thanks!

Also my GRE is missing from the checklist as well, does this mean it has been waived? Does anyone know?

Hi kiki8,

I actually deferred last year so I didn't need to officially apply again. My pre-req gpa is 3.7. I work in a research lab and volunteered at a hospital so that may have helped.

When I had my GRE waived it said in my application page "GRE waived" grayed out with a green check mark.

Best of luck!

Congrats! Did you receive an email?

I had a 3.7 undergrad in Biomedical Science/ Psychology and a 4.0 in prerequisites. I did not take the GRE, but I did take Nutrition which isn't required but recommended (but I made a B in the course), so I'm not sure if that helped at all. Also, I worked as a PCT for 8 months.

Unfortunately, this has been the worst experience I have had with application. I applied on July 1, and everything still shows red X's. I don't know what to make out of it. My BS is in respiratory therapy and 4.0 GPA. I held 4 leadership positions, ICU experience, two published abstracts, lots of volunteer works that include teaching asthma kids in underserved community how to manage their asthma and also voluteered at pulmonary fibrosis foundation. I also worked as a research assistant and peer tutor during undergrad. I still don't understand why they have not looked at my transcript to at least check off prereqs since July 1. I have called a million times and was told everything is okay from my end.

BTW, congrats to those who got accepted. Did any of you receive scholarships? Just wondering if it comes along with acceptance letter.

Congrats on acceptances! Did you need to create an "OPUS" account to view your decision, or was it emailed to you? The FAQ page says something about viewing your admissions decision through your OPUS account.

You get an email and log in through the regular page where you could check that status of your prereqs. Scholarships/FinAid would be emailed about at a later date they said.

Did anyone else get accepted? You all will be registering classes next yr and I will sit here with my red X's ;) Good luck to everyone.

I'm still waiting too, beginning to get discouraged also. I have all red X's. I'm trying to not read these forums but it's just so tempting. I haven't called yet, since they said no responses until October so fingers crossed.

We are in the same boat. Let's hope for the best.
