EMORY ABSN+MSN 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

So I decided to start a thread for the Fall 2017. Any current/prospective student on here? What GPA did you have when you applied and how competitive is the selection process? If you don't mind sharing your work experience and GRE score, that will be awesome. For those who are enrolled, do you mind sharing your experience?

hey guys! emory is my top choice since i'm an alumni (got my bachelors there a few years ago) and it's so close to home. cGPA: 3.7, prereq GPA: 3.9. the only thing that's keeping me away is the high tuition cost. $100k+? yikes. i already have student loans so i don't fancy adding more than i have to. i applied to the absn+msn program, but depending on the aid given, i might decelerate to absn only. i submitted my app 2 weeks ago, and all but my prereqs have green marks. constantly refreshing the status page during the weekdays for any changes haha.

no plans on taking the GRE unless i have to. hoping to have it waived to be honest!

I applied to the FNP speciality too. Got my GRE waived due to already having a masters degree in public health. Submitted my application a few weeks ago and it appears they started the review of transcript as my pre-reqs which were previously "x" are now green checks. I also heard 2 weeks ago that review of submitted applications starts in a few weeks....

Hi everyone! I too applied for the FNP specialty lol. Does anyone know if the second portion of the program (MSN) is offered online?

When did you get green checks on your prereqs? Mine are still red.

Hello! WHNP/CNM dual specialty here!

My checkmarks took about a month to turn green.. Hopefully we will be hearing back soon.

The wait is killing me. It has been over a month I applied and I still have red checks.

Has any other person received green check marks? I keep checking but mine are still red.

nope, still red. i applied the beginning of the month so it's not like it will become green overnight, but i still check everyday lol

I guess I will keep waiting.

It took mine about 2-3 weeks for the initial review (which is where the red Xs turned to green checks). They said if you are still missing one or two, it will not stop a full review from taking place over the next few weeks which is when a more formal admissions decision will be made.

I applied last week and have only one green check mark for one of my many transcripts. I'm only applying for the ABSN though.
