Emory ABSN Fall 2018

Hi everyone! I noticed there has not been a thread started for Emory's ABSN Fall 2018 (just the ABSN-MSN). Have any of you applied?

Yesterday was the priority deadline and from looking at threads from past years, it looks like people have received decisions as early as 10/16. Has anyone heard back?

If anyone is interested in sharing stats, feel free :)

just as a fyi, looks like the financial aid package was released today on opus.

Hey guys, quick question:

For those that registered for Admitted Students' Day, did you receive a confirmation email? I signed up and never got a confirmation email, but I'm not sure if we're supposed to.

I also applied at the December 15 deadline, and my understanding is that we should hear back Feb 15th. But I also made the 10 minute FA phone counseling appointment offered to me yesterday, so I'm hoping to clarify if we will still be considered for as much aid!

I called this morning and got through to someone. I applied for the second priority deadline (December 15th) and was told that the admissions committee was still holding my file. The woman I spoke with told me I will for sure have a decision soon but to go ahead and count on the February 15th deadline.....Even though I was told in an email that I was being considered for the January 15th release date.

Do you guys think that those who applied for the January 15 deadline will hear back on February 15? Or are they behind .. has anyone called ..

For the people who applied for the January 15th deadline and never heard anything: Any idea what time they're going to post admissions decisions? Will they send an email or do we just have to keep checking the original application or OPUS?

Has anyone who applied by the Dec. 15 deadline but whose "file was still being held" received an admission decision? I called and was told the end of the day Friday but haven't received a response yet.

I called this morning and was told basically the same thing : Be patient, they had a large influx of applicants last minute, If I don't have anything posted in OPUS by mid week next week I should call again.

I was just accepted!

My undergrad GPA was 3.9 (public health)

TEAS test score was in the 89th percentile nationally

I haven't heard anything about financial aid and this is the piece that still has me on the fence. This would require a cross country move for me and my husband and I still have undergraduate debt this would add to. But I'm sure this is many applicants' situation! I also applied to OHSU, which is local for me and I will not hear a decision back until April-ish.

I'm excited to have made it in, but still unsure if it is the right thing for me.

Hi, did you hear anything from financial aid yet? I thought that we will hear back from them by Feb 17 for Jan 15th acceptance. I am very concerned about financial aid too

So when they say mid-week, do they perhaps mean today? lol i am getting anxious. I was admitted to GW's ABSN program already so I'm just waiting for Emory to decide.

I hope you guys will hear something soon. Good luck!!! :) Based on the January acceptance, you will receive an email that says "**important status update** from Emory University and then you click on the link to direct you to the acceptance letter.

Update: I called yesterday and was told that there would be no way to know when I will get a decision.
