Hi. Is anyone here attending nursing school at El Paso Community College? I will be starting my first semester in January and am very excited! I've already purchased many of the text books and wanted to know if anyone else has? Any concerns or comments about attending the program? I'd love to hear from you!

Happy New Year!:yeah:

wow fast responses thank you guys for the extra info, i guess better start the ranking late than never right? does anyone know if i can take micro n dzs at the same time or do they need one another?

Hi, I m planning on getting into the RN program on 2012. Does anybody know how many hours you have to be everyday in school.

Hi, can you please tell me for how long do you have to be at school, once you are in the program.

Hi kilate, well it depends of the class. I' m taking the dosage calculation class. lab is 4 hrs 8am to 12pm or evenings 1pm-5 four days at week. lecture class 2 hr per week, however you need to expend some time practicing skills for the checkoffs so add another 2 hr per day.(at least) It is very, very tough. I haven't sleep this week. Good luck

Ayay, Mely if you think this is though drug dosage is nothing, wait until you get Fundamentals

Hey everyone,

I am so glad this thread is here! I am moving back to EP in a couple of months and I was wondering if someone could pm suggestions for teachers in AP I&II? Any help you all could give me would be great! I am going for the LVN program and am excited to take both of these classes! Thanks!!! =)

Take both at Mission far east Campus. The instructor last name start with "S", and you'll be fine.

hi, meli123 thanks for your response so you have to practice 2hrs every day for check offs?

Hello everyone,

I have been reading these interesting thread for quite some time... I am interested if anyone here ranked this month to get in on Jan 2012... This semester has been different than any other semester because only 59 students were eligible for the RN program, including myself :yeah: ...

j_lyne, congrats and hope to see you next semester.. :)

Congrats Jandra19, I feel excited because things do happen for a reason. I was going to rank until June 2012 because I had lost my shot record. I called my pediatrician but he had limited info since my last visit with him was 10 yrs ago (I'm 24) . 3weeks later he called and gave me a copy of my shots with most of the ones I needed for ranking. I did repeat some of them but it's ok, it was worth the pain  . I'm a big believer that there is a reason for everything, and those who didn't rank, don't get discouraged because there is always a next time, just start working on math (trig and pre-cal, calculus) and you should be able to rank on June.

Thank You!!! Congrats J-lyne!! I totally agree with you that things happen for a reason. I didn't want to rank this semester because I didn't wanted to hear I didnt get in again, but one phone call that Pat gave me made a difference and I am glad that happend. I was gonna wait untill June to rank again but this time with all "A". So things do happen for a reason hope to see you next semester. Do you know when they will be sending the letters?
