i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.
my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)
I had SIMbaby today and I thought it was a really cool thing. I was the very first person to use it which was pretty neat! They were taking pictures of me and stuff and I really hope they don't post them anywhere! hahaha. The DEAN was in there watching me. TALK ABOUT NERVE RACKING! But I did it and it was a good experience. I signed a paper that said I wouldn't say anything more about it so I'm not allowed to say anything else about it. You guys will like it though. When is everyone signed up to take it?

That's cool. Weird that you had to sign a paper, though. I guess they want to wait to get the word out with the newspaper article which will have your pics on it.

I am probably the last one. :wink2: I signed up to take it on November 30th. They had dates on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. I have lecture on Tuesdays and clinical on Thursdays. So I figured I would stop going to clinicals in November so the last day would be "safe".

Edit to ask: do we get a grade on simbaby?
Today we chose patients for tomorrow's clinical. Me and a fellow student at the nursing administration met a woman who was in ECC uniform.
Woman: "Are you third or fourth semester?"
We: "Oh, no. Second semester. And you?"
Woman: "I am fourth semester."
We: "Wow, good job. You are so close to graduate. Good luck."
Woman: " .............. I teach fourth semester."
We: "Oh......., sorry, we thought..... "
Woman: " :roll "
We: ";) See you soon. Hopefully. "

Katie...that's too funny.
It reminds me of my 1st day of English 1301 during winter-mester *almost* two years ago.
Anyway, the door was locked because I was early, and I was sitting at a desk outside the door. A boy comes up to me and says, "Are you the teacher?" :uhoh21:
Granted, the instructor wasn't too many years older than I was, but geeze....... :chuckle
That is TOO funny! Thank you...I needed that laugh. I just got done reading your response to HESI.

I actually wish I could go. There are some people in my class who are being mandated to go who don't want to go but I think it sounds really interesting.
