El Centro students Spring '06

So what kind of information is in the syllabus? In other classes, it's just information about grading policies and stuff like that. Seems like that would be information they would not make us pay for...

We had our last clinical yesterday and our last meeting at the school today. When I was driving home from school today I was really sad... :stone We had such a great, supportive clinical group. I'll miss them. I'll miss the hospital, too. Do you all feel the same way? I could wake up at 0500 tomorrow and get ready for clinicals. :confused:

I'm glad you had a really good experience with your clinical group.

I say "Good Riddence" to mine :lol2: . I can't wait for next semester when I get to change groups! lol. That's so mean to say huh? You would understand if you were in my group. :uhoh3:

It is weird that we have no more lecture classes or clinicals or skills but I'm not sad at all

I have to renew my CPR card. Where do you all do this? Brookhaven has a day class for $50. I am looking for a less expensive one.

Katie, did you see the link provided on the SNA ecampus site? It's under Student Resources, about mid-page & says the refresher course is $30.

I know presby and most other hospitals run CPR and renewal courses as well - I don't know how much they cost, but I don't think they are 50.00. I need to go renew mine too.

I did my initial one at Arlington Memorial, it and the renewal classes are $45. They don't make a difference in class or price there.

You can always go to American Heart Assoc. website (http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3011764) and put in your zip code and it will pull up alot of different places that are offering Heartsaver CPR classes. Seems like I also saw El Centro offering these classes. This is something I am going to have to do this summer as well. I feel like I am going to be just as busy this summer as I have been this semester.

Thanks for that website link, Amy. I have to get my initial cert at some point this summer. It's going to be a a BUSY summer with shots, physicals, CPR and getting my transcripts together! Not to mention classes
