i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

Girl... I am soooo serious!!! I've been a PCT for a year now. It was helpful at first but now it just insults my intelligence! I feel that I will enjoy this externship alot more because it will be challenging and it's in an area that I could see myself working in the future.

Congratulations on your externship....I guess i'll be seeing you there because I got a position in the ICU too. It was a total shock to me too. That was the first position I interviewed for and the only one I interviewed with. I actually was accepted to another hospital for a nurse externship position last Friday but turned it down after I was accepted for the one at Methodist. I just couldn't pass this oppurtunity up! Well hope to see you!

Thank you!!!! My name is STEPHANIE. I am in 3rd semester..now!! This will be my fist job in a hospital and I am sooooooooooo excited and ready to get started. I start June 11th but i'm in Group 2. One of my friends that was with me also received a position, but in the Post-Partum area. So I think BRIE said she received one of those positions? And yes there was ALOT of people there. When I left at 6:30 there were people still interviewing for the ICU.

Well I can't wait to see you guys on June 11th. Have a Great Memorial Day weekend!!!

This will be my first job in a hospital also! I am nervous and excited all at the same time! Do you happen to know if we have to wear certain colored scrubs? What are you going to wear to orientation? I don't know whether to wear scrubs or something professional? ACK! Decisions! Decisions!

I hope you have a good Memorial Day weekend as well! It's so awesome to know that we have a job but it doesn't start for 2 more weeks. I've never felt so secure before! Kind of gives us a good little break..I know I'll be enjoying it

I actually called about what to wear to ORIENTAION. Lisa said you can wear scrubs or dress up. NO Jean or Shorts. Not sure about colors, etc. But my other friend who will be in post-patum said that her manager said to wear solid colored scrubs. Hope that helps. I will be wearing scrubs to orientation....more comfortable then dressing up...lol.

I am defiently excited and nervous at the same time to. We are going to learn so much in that department. I actually have a friend that is a RN in the ICU. She will be a great help to us. I kinda wish we were starting earlier, but it gives me alittle time to get stuff together.

I too went to the jobfair at Methodist and was offered a position in PP/NN. My orientation starts Monday. There were a lot of people there and I feel so lucky to have been offered a position. I am going into my third semester at El Centro. I am "the friend" of sweetstil. Good Luck.

It was monday and Methodist from 3-6. Those who applied for the extern positions were called for a phone interview and then invited. There were a lot of people there.
