i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

How did you study for this test? (I am not asking about the test questions.) Did you practice lots of nclex questions, read everything in the chapters, etc?

READ READ READ ... I read BOTH Iggy and Lewis both 3 times at least. The nclex and medspub didn't really help me. KNOW acid base like the back of your hand and I mean everything about acid base not just the numbers. Read the acid base chapter in both books. That's what helped me the most. Know the drugs too. I don't think we have the same tests but this is what was helpful for my exam.

You won't!!!! I didn't mean to freak you out You just have fair warning of how difficult it was for our class so you can study more and be prepared...I didn't think it was that hard but that was because I studied like I have never studied before....all from the book and then there were a few where you just had to apply nursing actions that we have already learned. .. like on every test.

Exactly! Seriously- if I can do it. It's just one of those subjects you have to read over and over and over and over until it makes sense and then you have it. It's not something you can just memorize the day before. You will do a GREAT job!!!!!!!! BOTH OF YOU!

I am sooooo nervous now! I've read through everything and I felt pretty good about it.... but now I dunno. Were there alot of detailed questions? I bet your class will get some points...

I think medspub and some of the nclex review books have easy questions. I mean, I do medspub because it's required but it doesn't help me a lot. Most of the questions are too easy compared to our real test questions.

How was you all's midterm evaluation? I had mine today and I did better than I thought I would. :monkeydance:
