El Centro Spring 2015

Published

Hi all,

I am starting a tread for all the students that will be applying for spring 2015 ADN program at El Centro. Please join and give any info that you might have. I want to be successful as well as everyone else trying to apply.

Hi there, I applied for LVN-RN bridge at elcentro. I just got my acceptance letter. have you gotten your's yet? Do you know anything about this program?

Another question for current nursing students.. How many hours do you usually set aside for studying outside of school?

Sorry I just saw you posted this ! What hospital are your clinicals ?I work at Plano

We are now at Ft Worth. You will go to Arlington for skills and lecture

They recommend that you study 3 hours outside of class for every credit hour you are taking. So if you are taking 9 hours that would be 27 hours outside of class :nailbiting:

Is anyone going to setup a facebook page for spring 2015 nursing students or are we going to wait till after we meet on nov 25??

Thanks for the info. I actually called the Methodist program and asked them what are hours would be and they confirmed that we have lecture on Tuesdays, Wed is clinicals and Thursday is skills. Is there no school on Mondays and Fridays at all?

I'm in the first semester of the THR/El Centro program and have worked 36 hrs the whole time. I also have a family (2 kids under 3 and a husband). I think all in my class work at least 24 hrs. I work weekend nights, Fri-Sun 7p-7a. I have had that schedule for almost 3 yrs and luckily it works with my schedule. My school schedule is Tue lecture 1-5, Every other Wed is clinical, and Thurs is skills from 9am-7pm.

Congrats to those accepted! If you didn't get in keep trying! I applied once to the traditional program and got in on the 2nd try to the partnership with THR. Good luck!

We've had to go one Monday for a wound conference and 2 Fridays but that's it

Mseid,

I applied and got into the bridge program as well! I don't know much about the program either. I'm currently working 3 12 hour days a week..hopefully I can continue to do so. I also live in Fort Worth. It's going to be a crazy year driving back and forth!

Am giving up my spot. I got in at UT Tyler and am accepting them instead. Good luck to us, as we begin our journey to a successful career.
