Hello Nursing hopefules!
I will be applying for the El Centro Nursing Progam for spring 2018. I wanted to know if anyone else is working on their applications and how far along. Here to provide and receive support and help. I currently have 26 points without the HESI. I was only missing 3 points from the RN-BSN courses. I have taken the HESI 2 times before and there would always be one subject (grammar) that held me back from submitting my application. I did not take the HESI seriously and never studied for the test. This time is different. I have been studying my head off for 2 weeks now. Taking the HESI for the third and final time Feb 11. Hopefully I get to meet some future el Centro students here and start our journey together!
Hi guys,
I'm going to apply RN program for spring 2018 too. I just took hesi test last week, and I got 3 points for English, 7 points for a&p, and 7 points for math. I'm applying with total 43 points. Omg I feel so nervous because only top 60 students will be chosen. I hope my score is enough competitive. I'm also thinking about using this hesi result to apply LVN for fall 2017 as my second choice. Notification of LVN is sooner than RN. If I were passing the LVN, I would study and wait the result of RN. I think at least if I fail the RN, I did not wast time for waiting. Well, guys could you please have any advice for me? I'm so confused and not much confident. >"
That's a good amount of points!! I'm only applying with 40... I'm applying here and Grayson for the spring. Hoping to get in somewhere!
Hi, thanks Chrissy. Is the hesi test in Grayson different from El Centro? I apply only El Centro, and hopefully I can get in too.
Anyone here know about immunization requirement? For the Hepatitis A do they require both 2 shots before the deadline or just the fist one? I see each shot is given at least 6 months apart. arrgh
I believe it's the same test. You have to have all shots completed before you apply. I couldn't apply for this fall because I didn't have my Hep A completed before the application due date.
Oh. Students can submit the titers if we don't have immunization, right?
"Hepatitis A:
a. Two (2) Hepatitis A shots (0, 6 months) OR
b. Positive Hepatitis A Total Antibody titer"
"Applicants may also submit titers, blood drawn to check for antibodies in your system from prior immunization or infection, as proofof immunization "
