congratulations! to everyone that is starting in january!
i'm so excited to meet everyone-please introduce yourself!
:groupwelcome:
you will need a drug book for your care plans definitely, though, check your local half price book store. sometimes you get lucky. I got mine on amazon used.
We were at Mesquite which is not the greatest hospital, but I did enjoy it. I got to help with several patients. We have not really done careplanning yet. I think we are going to start that the week we get back from spring break. I was lucky and had a nice nurse, but alot of the nurses there seem really grumpy.

Yes, lots of learning. Spill...how did yours go?Yang
Well, it was an eventful day. I did learn a lot. I spent time with several different pts, just observing. My initial pt was discharged (the one I spent all night working on their careplan) My 2nd pt. had a pending case of possible Menningitis...so that was a definite NO NO for me to assist with. Then I just assisted some of my classmates with their pts. Later on I ended up with a lovely pt and I did my HA and vitals with her. I was exhausted, by lunch time! I think because I spent so much of my energy having anxiety and just being plain terrrified. :uhoh21:
I'm glad I have one day down. Not sure if I will be less anxious the second go around, but at least I can remind myself I survived one day, I can do it again.
Anyone doing anything cool for spring break?
I'm sleeping in tommorrow, tommorrow is my B-DAY!!!! :balloons: Having no class tommorrow is a great gift! :monkeydance:

Before I had my own drug book, I borrowed one from the college library.
