congratulations! to everyone that is starting in january!
i'm so excited to meet everyone-please introduce yourself!
:groupwelcome:
I didn't realize that Monday was the week of Spring Break. I might be able to do that. It just bugs me a little that we have to pay and take a separate class to learn how to do it. I mean, we are in nursing school. If care plans are a part of nursing, shouldn't it be included in our curriculum?
Yang, did you watch that video? Do I *need* to watch it? How long was it?
It was 2 hours and 16 minutes....it drones on and on, but if you haven't had Pharm, and don't want to read about it, I would at least watch it. It's got the basics of it all....I had to take breaks to take a nap honestly. If you can read it faster than watch it, I would. So the careplan class is the Monday of spring break? hmmm...what time, do you remember?

I hear ya Jaxia! and also, I think a careplan book and drug handbook should have been included in our box of books that cost $600!
Anyways...have you guys thought about your community project yet? Any idea on what you might do. I'm trying to find something to do, so I can possibly complete that over spring break...or not.
I think we discussed our projects the first day of class, and haven't talked about them again. We might get to do our own thing, or we might have to do something that our teacher picks. We don't know yet.
Yang, is tomorrow the day we're supposed to bring all our junk?
I went to see Body Worlds yesterday. It was neat, but I had to keep reminding myself those weren't just plastic models -- at one point s/he was a living breathing being. I was disappointed that there weren't more female models. I think I appreciated getting to see the diseased body parts the most -- now I know what cirrhosis of the liver looks like, a heart after a stroke, an aneurysm, and things like that. It definitely puts things in perspective.
Yep, tomorrow is the day to bring our bandage stuff. I'm sooo tired! I can't wait until spring break when I can get caught up on stuff around my house and work. Will we need a drug book in addition to cards do you think? I know they said we had drug books at the hospital. How'd your test go Spill?

I heard that the careplan class is taking place this Saturday...but another one will be give on the 12th, which is the Monday of spring break.
Are any of you planning on taking it? One girl in my clinical group is taking it this Saturday. Depending on what she says, I may consider taking it on the 12th.
