C'mon peeps, where are you all? There are posts for every other ECC/NL class. We need our own too.

Anyone else starting in the Fall '07?

El Centro - Fall '07

Specializes in Operating Room.

I can't get into Fall '07 ecampus yet for 3rd semester. It may all depend on whether or not the instructor has the class unlocked, or uploaded anything, for the students to browse.

....Not sure.

Pecked thanks for the info. I am waiting the old loan check so I'll be paying this weekend. I'll chck ecampus first part of next week. I do feel a lot better. I guess that should last for about 10 min. then I can stress out again. HA

The clocks tic tick ticken!

I have a question for you guys, at orientation they said to pay the fees at the first of August for insurance and what not. Since us who took the HPRS class are not enrolled in any of the classes can we still pay the fees?

Everyone pays $70 for Medspub, and $18.13 for ins.

The ins. is for clinicals, Medspub is a study tool.

Hope this helps....good luck! :D

Did anyone else get their Lab schedules from the bulletin board this week? It's a bit confusing. Shows us starting skills labs 8am-4pm, two days a week, and before the first lecture. I thought we didn't have anything before Friday the 31st. No biggie, just a little confused.

Also the bookstore does not have the syllabus and they told me the syllabus and the Potter book were the same...now that really seems wrong! I am sure they are two seperate items.

Argh - El Centro! :uhoh3:

Yes the syllabus and the Potter book are different books. I remember last semester they were talking about putting the syllabus online. I think I wait to see if they actually put it online. Katie

Kanora said that we would be having skills lab on Mondays. She said that there would be one section that would have it two days a week instead of one. What all did the bulletin board say?

The lab times were pretty random. It just all depends on which clinical instructor you have. It looked like the lab times were on the same days as the clinicals. I guess we do the skills labs then after a few weeks transition to the hospital clinicals.

Anyone else going to VA?

Question for 2nd and third semester folks. I forked over the $578.00 for the book box today. What do you all suggest reading before classes begin? Also, second semester folks, what ype of math will we be tested on (Ratios, fractions, etc) and when will that occur? I now they have incorporated it now instead of making it a seperate test like they used to. I suck at math and would appreciate your comments...

Thanks!!

Math is dosage math. If you have the Math Calculations book, look through that.

As far as reading, maybe a 2nd semester has the list. I can't seem to find my old one. I know the history of nursing was first, but Electrolytes/Acid-Base Balance was the hardest to get down for most people. (Which is continued in 2nd semester, and I'm sure 3rd, if not 4th also!!!)

I didn't take the Keys to Success class.

Good luck! :)

Ok...I'm a doofus here... I keep double posting lol

Old Guy - Pm me your e-mail and I'll send you the reading list. Should be pretty similar to Galloway's. I didn't take the Keys class and I did fine.

Take Care!
