Hi everyone. I applied to El Camino College, Compton College and Cypress College. I was hoping we could help each other out in sharing information. This is my first time applying to any nursing program. All I know for now is that ECC is supposed to send an email to potential candidates to take TEAS on or around Oct 21. What I don’t understand is if we will get the invite around that time or if we will be TESTING around that time. It can be read either way. At compton, the lady at the front desk said they’d be behind one week for testing due to her being gone due to a death in the family. So she said that if I got an invite to take the TEAS elsewhere, to do it and then contact her so that she can tell me where to send it. All I remember from Cypress is that we should get an email by Dec 12 or so and to call the school if we don’t. But I don’t remember what they said as far as the TEAS. I guess I’m wondering if denial letters also get sent when invites for TEAS get sent. Anyway, I’d appreciate any feedback from anyone. Thanks!
You have to go to one of their orientation sessions and then go to the application session (two separate ones on different days). Once you fill out paperwork on the application session and turn it in, it will probably take another two to three months for them to review it. If you meet qualifications and your good to go, they’ll send you the letter for the TEAS. They told us that if we already took the TEAS, to email it to them and then email them letting them know that you did so. I did all of that and apparently they didn’t even look at it or who knows what. I went to the orientation on 9/24 and to the application workshop on 9/26 and barely got the letter yesterday. Since I have to respond confirming for the TEAS, I’ll let them know in that email that I already sent my TEAS. We shall see. But so far that’s how the process with them has been.

Thanks for the info
Hi guys!
@Dub I have a doubt! I was looking for information in the LA Trade-tech but I couldn’t find anything about sessions or whatever related to the nursing program, just the basic, things we already know like prerequisites, TEAs, etc. But not for orientations.
I asked here in another forum about the orientation dates there and I was replied that I need to go to their info session which requires an RSVP and after that a pre req clearance workshop. They are first come first serve so I can go any time.
So now I’m confused. How can I receive the invitation or RSVP for the session?
Thanks @Dub... very helpful. I already register and sent my transcripts there. I’ll call tomorrow, my friend sent an email but she wasn’t replied back.
I still have a 0.00001 of faith with the Compton application since I haven’t received a denial letter. But I think nobody hasn’t received one, so I’m not so hopeful about it.
Hi guys! So I received a call a week before the nursing orientation and was asked if I wanted to be an alternate. I went to the compton orientation last week and basically told the alternates to not purchase or do anything until they hear back. I still haven’t heard any updates on my spot. Sorry for the late response nothing really has happened besides being an alternate. Not excited until I’m actually in the program. Congrats to everyone

Some girl I met last semester, who is in Compton’s nursing program told me this application period would be the easiest to get into but idk how true that is.
Hi I was wondering if you got accepted to Compton college. I’m applying in February. Also, how many points did you apply with if you don’t mind me asking.
