Hi everyone. I applied to El Camino College, Compton College and Cypress College. I was hoping we could help each other out in sharing information. This is my first time applying to any nursing program. All I know for now is that ECC is supposed to send an email to potential candidates to take TEAS on or around Oct 21. What I don’t understand is if we will get the invite around that time or if we will be TESTING around that time. It can be read either way. At compton, the lady at the front desk said they’d be behind one week for testing due to her being gone due to a death in the family. So she said that if I got an invite to take the TEAS elsewhere, to do it and then contact her so that she can tell me where to send it. All I remember from Cypress is that we should get an email by Dec 12 or so and to call the school if we don’t. But I don’t remember what they said as far as the TEAS. I guess I’m wondering if denial letters also get sent when invites for TEAS get sent. Anyway, I’d appreciate any feedback from anyone. Thanks!
@Rnhopeful: you will. Maybe they just started sending them out.
@Sue-ema: No, not yet. I want to try them on before I buy them. I’d hate to buy it and then it look ridiculous on me bc it doesn’t fit right. Who knows what their policy is Do you think you’ll be able to wear the same one for Compton?
Does anybody know where ECC stands as far as how good of a nursing program it is?
Just now, CozyCub said:Did you took your own measurements? The sample try-ons won’t be available till tomorrow. By the way, how many pairs did you bought?
I did my own measurements, But I’m usually a small, so I went with it. I bought one pair for on campus & off, plus the jacket. It was pricy but rather get it out of the way now.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, it sure is expensive. I’ll also buy one pair of each, after I tried their samples.
I don’t qualify for financial aid anymore, so I’m not looking forward to paying for any if this-especially since I’m broke ? I’m going to go see what I can do about loans tomorrow. I’ve never spent more than $25 for a top or bottom uniform, so not happy about spending $40 for ea ?
If anyone has advice on loans based on experience, I’d appreciate the info.

Yeah me too. But the deadline for the form is on December 2. We still have time to think about it.
