El Camino, Compton, Cypress College Spring 2020 nursing application process

Hi everyone. I applied to El Camino College, Compton College and Cypress College. I was hoping we could help each other out in sharing information. This is my first time applying to any nursing program. All I know for now is that ECC is supposed to send an email to potential candidates to take TEAS on or around Oct 21. What I don’t understand is if we will get the invite around that time or if we will be TESTING around that time. It can be read either way. At compton, the lady at the front desk said they’d be behind one week for testing due to her being gone due to a death in the family. So she said that if I got an invite to take the TEAS elsewhere, to do it and then contact her so that she can tell me where to send it. All I remember from Cypress is that we should get an email by Dec 12 or so and to call the school if we don’t. But I don’t remember what they said as far as the TEAS. I guess I’m wondering if denial letters also get sent when invites for TEAS get sent. Anyway, I’d appreciate any feedback from anyone. Thanks!

@Dub when we first initially turned in our application into the Nursing program they handed me a 2 page info packet of the sequence of things to come. On there it said the orientation would be held Nov. 15th thats why the girl went in the office freaking out lol I was freaking out earlier this week and I called to find out if it was still this Friday (today) which they said no that they are behind schedule. I applied to the LVN-RN and I haven't gotten an email from Elco. ?

Someone had posted that they applied for generic route but received a call from ecc yesterday, saying she was accepted into the lvn-Rn program. Idk in what order they are sending these emails , but definitely frustrating .

I know I read that! It has me worried. When I called this morning the lady wouldn't tell me anything about it when I brought it up. ? ?

I remember the dean saying at an info session that 99% of the time people that do lvn-rn get accepted.

No I only applied to the LVN-RN. I had the sub-acute experience with my job and all of the required things they asked for but haven’t got anything! We just have to keep our fingers crossed !

hey you guys

just wanted to let you guys know I got my accepted into the LVN-RN program. Got the email over an hour ago. They are slowly sending emails out still so good luck to everyone waiting! For the ones accepted I'll see you guys Friday and congrats!

I just received my Spring 2020 Contingent Acceptance Letter for El Camino College.

I also applied at Compton College, but I haven’t heard from them yet.

I got my contingent acceptance to ecc too but I’m confused cause it say alternate , nothing about waiting if someone refuses , did anyone’s say the same ?

So , I guess I’m an alternate, kinda bummed but I still have hope, I’ll see you guys at orientation, hopefully someone decides to give up their seat .

Mine doesn’t say alternate. First, I need to return Contingent Acceptance Acknowledge Form

@Vem: oh, I see what you mean about that letter stating that orientation was today. So I guess they haven’t been sending emails since last week since it appears that everyone is starting to post that they received the emails. That’s good to know.

@Sue_ema: that is great! Congrats. I’m sure there will be someone who decides to go to another campus.

@Channah: how did orientation go a SMC? I was bummed I didn’t get to apply to SMC either. Did u like it?
