For me I used MCN book of Pillitteri and for Psych I only used the handouts given to us during college days.. You could also use the ulitmate learning guide of carl balita... hope these could help...

i dunno what exact books really....but if you have a good foundation of your nursing education from school, i think that would be good enough...just continue reading...esp. OR, research, cancer, IMCI,prioritization, pysche...last june 2007 NLE was about critical thinking esp. test 4...all about prioritization....what to do first...what to prioritize...practice on these...God bless u

Try Potter (funda) and of course questionnaires... I answered 4000... If you get 50-60 items out of 100, review further, its conditional... if you get 60 above, pray and review more... I think you'll pass.... Hope this help!
I passed with God's guidance... Before opening the booklet, pray one Our father, Hail Mary and Glory be... it might help! It helped me!

Buy the IMCI book as one of the authors is a member of the nursing board.
READ your NURSING FUNDAMENTALS because the exam last june 2007 was very very BASIC, yeah my reviewers told us to go "back to the basics" but i never expected that basic. you need to review your research, (i cant suggest a good book for that)

hi I took my local boards last june 10-11 and my nclex last june 30. I passed both exams first take. hehe. I did not enroll in a review center because I like studying at my own time and place. I used saunders compre and ncsbn learning extension for both my local boards and nclex. I also used sia's community and MCN Q and A. And I read the IMCI. But I have to say, test 2 and 5 were very hard for me, maybe because there were many community and nursing research questions and because I concentrated on my Nclex more than my local boards.... Just practice answering questions and knowing its rationale, then when you are taking the real exam, it will feel like one of your review sessions. You will really develop your critical thinking only through practice. hope this helps

Sia's questionnaire is also good! I used it for my medical surgical review. Just a reminder, please be conscious when using NCLEX reviewer when reviewing for NLE. I know they're showing all standard information, but there are also information that is not applicable in the NLE. I can still remember how some of my batchmates and also students from other schools argued because according to they're NCLEX reviewer say's like this and it contradicts this... blah blah blah... If your not sure with your answer, look for it in other books. Oh! Then don't rely too much on reviewers sold infront of PRC or other reviewers from bookstores... Some have wrong information! Maybe some are just typo errors or maybe..... you know what I mean! You should have many resources...
Last but not the least, you know what's my secret when reviewing? Prayers and.... enjoying what your doing! Don't pressure yourself! Sometimes being pressured can do good, but it's better if your enjoying what your doing! And find time to relax.....
God bless on your studies!

Hi..Im also NLE June2007 passer,1st take,i think the most important thing that you should have is Faith and Confidence...You should believe in God and to your self..uuhhh.You should focus in research, actually thats our problem before, we always disregard research coz its boring even our review instructor told us to study it,and when the exam starts wow, BON love it...and after the exam all of us had the same feeling of failure in exam,, its more basics and we are focus in hard things,,well we dont know what will be the dec.2007 exam will be,but you must have faith...
we believe MIRACLES happen! and we are the living proof...
