So we have about 4 different programs in our greater area in which one can pursue nursing education and RN licensure. But What to make of this? Really? For a good laugh or slap to the head, view one our illustrious programs gush about "front office and back office procedures." It'll spin your head I tell ya! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nMgvmPTf3k
Anyone have any other Doozies? Watch the first minute here and see if you get my drift.
I don't think for profit or non profit matters in this case. The commercials are tacky and just plain weird. It's obviously geared toward young adults who are probably stuck in a dead end situation. There is a need for MA schools. I'm not sure which ones aren't over expensive and legit though.
The host is a horrible actress. I don't get the scene in the registrar office with the guy on the walkie talkie, but... overall they are trying to sell a product and that is what school is now. The costs are really high, so they are going to point out every tiny detail they have (board games, fridges, ect) just to PROVE they are worth it. Although, 2 tiny micro fridges for that many students is not a selling point. LOL I think there were a few things that were very unflattering to the profession (her being in bed with the mannequin comes to mind). I don't get the 59 windows not facing the outdoors. Is it because it is hot there? And the class sizes are small, but they show a packed room. For me, if I was looking at that I would think that was a lot of people. It is unlikely the target audience has been to a college campus with huge lecture halls. All in all, they ARE trying to get a very specific type of person to enroll, and I think they target it with the commercial.

Ha! I remember that commercial.
I honestly thought it was a parody. Viewless windows? A turtle-saving faculty member? Only two teachers who attended school there? Really?
Sadly, there are some people ignorant enough to fall for it.
