Edmonton nurses: where to buy scrubs?

Hi,

So I'm a nursing student going into my second year clinical. I need to buy a few more scrub sets.

I was wondering where other people buy theirs. I bought a set at Mark Work Warehouse but it was about $50 for one set. I love the set, but I'm sure I can get just as good (or better) for less money.

So, what do you guys suggest? I have been considering Accuwear or ICU (incredibly comfortable uniform) but I am willing to hear of other places.

I must be used to Vancouver's Army & Navy selection then because I found Giant Tiger's selection subpar :(

Try making your own if Mark's is out of the question. Again, try Value Village.

There is no comparisson between the A&N in Vancouver and what is in Edmonton. Edmonton is the poor step-child in their supply chain. I grew up in the lower mainland and have fond memories of the A&N designer and shoe sales. Edmonton gets dreck.

Wait, @Fiona59 - You're saying the shoe sale in Edmonton isn't nearly as legendary as Van's? Oy vey. I smell a trip back home in April!

Are there no scrub stores here in Edmonton? You're from the lower mainland, you know what I mean, right? There were several on W. Broadway, always some by major hospitals such as Image Care, Pro One etc.

ICU has a couple of branches in town. Nothing special and can be overpriced.

Over the years, the independent uniform stores have died out. Years ago there used to be one at the West Ed but I think it went under about six years ago.

The internet is a wonderful thing for finding uniform providers and if you order enough they usually through in free delivery and a discount. Ebay is entertaining. I love how "erotic costumes" find their way into the nursing uniforms section.

I've never heard of ICU. I will look them up! Thank you :)

Unfortunately, due to my well endowed upper half, I have to try tops on so online has never been a viable option for myself. I swear, I should just fix my sewing machine and make my own again.

There is an awesome scrub store in Edmonton called Accuwear Uniforms. They have sets on for $30 plus all their Landau/Urbane tops and pants are 50% off right now. They also carry Cherokee, Mobb, Greys Anatomy and Baby Phat scrubs. Check it out.

Most nurses don't want to spend $50 on a set of scrubs. Giant Tiger and Walmart. Tops 8-16 and pants 12-16

Do you guys remember if you got charged for the customs and duties for shipping to Canada with dailyscrubs.ca website? Please let me know. Thank you :)

Daily scrubs is Canadian. You aren't charged customs but you will be charged shipping costs. I used to buy scrubs from them.
