Hello! Is anyone applying for Edison(Lee campus) for fall of next year? I plan on applying in the spring for the evening program. I'm also in the process of finishing my last pre reqs and studying for the Hesi. I know the evening program is about 5 semesters but does anyone know if its shorter when all pre reqs are completed? So far I've gotten all A's in them. Thanks in advance
Lol girl I wish! Keep me in your prayers. At the info session the had a breakdown of how many classes you take each semester. I can't remember off the top of my head but I have the papers at home somewhere and I can post it later. I do remember that pre reqs were included in the semester. So some semesters might have more or less classes depending on if you complete all 9 pre reqs at the time of admission. The day program is 4 semesters and nights is 5 bc it includes a summer.
Hi I still haven't gotten the chance to look for those papers. I'm in the process of moving from my apt to another house and I have no idea where anything is. I do remember there not being more than 4 classes a semester though. Like I said the pre reqs are sprinkled in there so it might actually work out to 2 or 3 classes w clinicals thrown in. I have to find the paper work to verify.
I hope I'm not posting too many comments lol. Does anyone know what exactly the HESI exit exam is? I know someone in another state who has to take some type of HESI specialty exam after EVERY nursing course/semester. Does Edison State College have their nursing program like this?? Or do we just take the HESI once as an entrance exam..
Hey there can never be too many comments lol. I think they only do exit exams at the end of the program. I would have to ask my friend who's in the program now if they do them after every semester. From what I've seen on here it looks like it measures how well you're prepared to take the NCLEX
Thanks lol. It just seems so stressful if we have to do that I'm not sure if students are required to pass although most likely I would think so considering I know a few ppl who need to score higher than 900 on the hesi after every semester some who don't meet that requirement sometimes still pass thei classes if they had a really good grade.
