did you only use ATI resources? and I am unfamiliar with the ATT situation.. how long did it take to get yours?
a few people told me to have to pass every test in the NCLEX prep term or else you fail, is that true?
a few people in my cohort complained about lack of in person clinicals also smh.
in clinicals we are practicing head to toe assessment and care planning in addition to medication pass so I admit it is strengthening our assessment skills and I do find nursing getting better at care plans and critical thinking.
I honestly think concepts 4 will be the hardest proctored exam of them all because it's disease management, leadership and management and community health. concepts 3 is just going to be OB, peds, mental health and cancer at least.
I only used ATI. I know a lot of my cohort used archer and they passed but IMHO the questions they use are super super complicated and the NCLEX is not as in depth as their questions. It feels more structered like ATI. Also nurse mike has an NCLEX prep which is also good but pricey.
You do have to pass every ATI test but you are given I think 2 or 3 chances to do it. The downside is that if you have to retake, and lets say you get a 90 percent with the conversion, you still only get 80 entered I think. That is pretty simple with most but for me it was Concepts 2 I really had to study for and Leadership. Quite a few had to retake leadership because the score to pass is different with every exam. Leadership is one of those that is quite high. I think somewhere in the 76 range? That doesn't sound terrible but its only 60 questions.
By then, you should have already taken a version of concepts 4 and leadership. So I would really really really look at your focused review, see what you missed there and study that. It won't be the same exam but the over all concepts are very similar.

I'm looking to get into this school, actually I already spoke to admissions and I have schedule the fundamentals test next Friday, BUT after I reading this trend I have doubts, I know there is no perfect program and I'm very interested in this one because I heard I can have class only 1 or 2 days at most and it works for me that way, I am disappointed about not learning that much skills as I already work in long term. I don't think there is another program that offers only 2 days for 18 months, right ? Plus, I am planning to get some prereq online as ACE credits and I can save also money (like 31 credits) since I don't have any pre reqs
I'll appreciate any advice and I wish you the best in this hard journey, I may be there soon too,
Eastwick will only accept your pre-recs if done by other places if they are done *before* you start the program and sometimes they don't want to take them. Generally their pre-rec classes are not hard to pass but it can be a lot of classes with the starting course load.
Holy name has a good LPN to RN Bridge program but it is a lot of work and difficult. You do from what I understand get go to real clinical and learn skills which is a bonus.
If all your pre-recs are done before starting the program sometimes class is just one day a week (if its only one class). But other times it may be 2 days. Long days where you have one class after another. In term four, we had concepts 2 from 8 until 1. Then Management from 2-5. The next day we had "clincal" which ran from 8 till 1. We had a different instructor and she gave us a lot of homework all of the time.
Some classes are also harder than others depending on who is instructing and where your knowlege base is. So keep that in mind. ?

the best way to study for all the speciality tests is to take the practice A and B practice tests. I do A with my own knowledge first then find them on quizlet and take A again but write down the rationales so it sticks. then take B, use the quizlet for answers since there's no rationales with B. and take B twice, take A as many times as you can and study the rationales. also, when you finish practice A and B, on the results page, scroll down to the concepts and exemplars section, these exemplars will be covered on the speciality exam. for next term, try to start the practice A and Bs by like week 5 or 6 so you have time to take A atleast 3 times and B twice. I get level 3s on most of my speciality exams.

Thank you for your help
@Maria30 I would also recommend looking at your A & B practice. If you look over the focus review, you can see the topics of questions that you missed. I would study from there honestly and when you doing A, make sure to look at the rationals and take note of things that you almost chose.
You guys got this. I look forward to your post when you are also Eastwick Alums!! <3
