Hello! I am not seeing a lot of forums for East Los Angeles College (ELAC). I would love to talk to some people who are also applying or who have attended the nursing program. I am curious if I have a chance on getting in for Fall 2021. If anyone is comfortable sharing their points that would be awesome. I'll also be sharing my stats once I figure them out. The application opens April 1st! ?

I had started reading the BRN meeting minutes out of curiosity in October when I was finalizing my list of programs to apply to this fall! I saw their warning status and NCLEX rates and decided not to.
I had completely forgotten about it until I saw this thread right now so looked back into it for y'all.
Link to BRN:
IDK where it starts (there's lots of discussion) but if you click on webcast 2 the motion gets passed at around 2 hour 29 minute mark.
Oops heres the link

Yes, paused for Fall 2021 semester, not canceled.
Just watched it. Sounds like there has been a lot of administration changes and lack of leadership. Hopefully this pause will generate a better Spring 2022 semester.
they did mention that they have already selected the fall cohort. I would hope that we’re notified soon so that we can make plans accordingly. Not just left in limbo.
I'm watching the brn meeting + discussion and ooooooooooooof. it definitely sucks for us as students and I can also see how it can get worse if we enter the program and they're not able to support us. so we're in a lose-lose situation where there's a pause in admission but also if there's admission, the quality of education may not be there

This is disappointing, sounds like there won’t be a fall semester then.
