Can you explain what do you mean ELAC was placed on warning status..

their NCLEX pass rates were under 75% for three years in a row, which is really really bad.

It's def worrying. But if they show that they are willing to improve and that we can also teach ourselves a little bit, we should be fine. And u have a great total! I have 51 right now. Their range of acceptance has been as low as the 50s so I'm hopeful. My science GPA is 3.6 with a 84% TEAS but my overall GPA is only 3.0 which is a bummer.

51 is pretty solid as of now. I am sure that because of their new requirement of 62% all across TEAS areas it should make you more eligible than others who might have had a bad TEAS score but a higher GPA. I am not sure what your grades looked like, but have you tried petitioning to remove some of the lower grades (D, F). I don't want to assume you have D's or F's but I did at a point when I first started college. I petitioned to get the "academically removed" at the school that I took the classes at and once I was approved for my appeal. My GPA went up from there. It's worth asking your school about. (ask admissions and records about the form and then consult a counselor about how the process works)

ELAC's passing rate was below the passing NCLEX threshold. If the threshold was 70%, their passing threshold was only 62%. If you go on ELAC's website and read at the bottom of the "application process" page where it says ELAC is no longer on warning status you can look on RN.gov and read the transcripts as to why they were placed on warning. Good luck

You're welcome!

Thank you so much for making this thread. I live near ELAC and it would be amazing to be able to walk to school. I misread their website the first time around but then realized there was no info for the Fall 2023 apps and found this thread.

The low pass rate is concerning. If given the opportunity to attend I would probably start self-studying for the NCLEX right away using outside resources, or at least start getting exposed to the test style.

My stats are all over the place but my TEAS score helps bring my points to around 65. I'm hopeful and just emailed them to request the app.

I'm not sure but for those who might have been interested. You still have time to reach out.

Did they provide an official deadline or closing period? I did email them but I am anxious wondering if I missed it. ?

They will let you know all the details in the email but the deadline is March 31.

Hello,

I emailed ELAC about applying and they sent me an auto reply with the application link. However it says we need to email them the cover page they sent during the info session. Does anyone have a copy they can attach ? I can't find it anywhere on the site and I didn't attend the info session either, they never updated their website :(

I only have 62 points. Your 65 is looking better than mine. Have you submitted the application already?

Fill out the info on the link and they will send you an email packet along with instructions and the cover sheet. Good luck!
